You sir, are a class act. If there is still room on the list, I'd be proud to wear one. XL.
As for the design, I think it's awesome, besides, anyone who can wrestle that AMG unicorn into submission will probably produce an awesome shirt!!
Ooo! A shirt that depicts someone wrestling an AMG unicorn into submission would be awesome!

I'll proudly wear one of those shirts in Medium. Thank you for your generosity with those.
I have a large set of metric sockets, I can see if one of them is equivalent to the inch size you need. Are you going to the Houston cars and coffee this Saturday?
Also, I have a local friend who has accumulated some heavy lifting equipment for working on a Unimog (he's currently pulling the cab off the frame) so if you run into something that requires a lot of mechanical muscle I might be able to save you buying a large, expensive, one-time-use tool.
As a slight aside, here's another direction to take a cabover project: http://www.stanceworks.com/2017/08/the-baller-hauler-miles-shinnemans-1993-isuzu-npr-transporter/ It might not be to the tastes of everyone here, but I can't help but love it.

I'll take a 2xl and I'll double my monthly donation to our local animal shelter as my 'not a payment' if that's cool with you.
You can sometimes rent the really big sockets designed for 4wd truck front hubs from your local auto parts store. I generally start with channel locks, but for big stuff sometimes it's easier to make the tool. A chunk of plywood, a drill, and if you can find a jig saw you are 10 minutes away from a home made socket.
LOL, you may want to set a cap on your shirt count.
Also, I very much underestimated the size. I guestimated about 15" blossom size.
If it's not a bother, I would enjoy having a large shirt as well. I'm happy to send some money to your favorite charity if your not willing to at least let us cover your costs.
I'm afraid your shirt list is going to get quite long with how many people enjoy your projects and writing, myself included. You inspire me to go work on a project, although that's currently a bit challenging with an 8 month old baby at home.

I can't believe that thing is real.
I'm very glad that thing is real.
Unfortunately, it'd be close to useless for me around here. Unless it's bagged with 15" of travel.

hey MD, look at your local NAPA for large size sockets at reasonable prices, some are between 2" and 4" , made by expanding 1/8" material by hydraulics to 6, or 8 sided configurations, in 1/2" or 3/4" drives.
I'm up for a xxxl (yes 3xl) t-shirt, but some day I will get even with you, I'm not looking for charity, just want you and yours safe.
I like the idea of 22.5 tubeless tires on Ferdinand. and would be even better if they fit the old 6 spoke hubs.
If possible I would like to get a L and will look for a charity to donate as well in lieu of payment. Your threads have been a real pleasure to read... Thank you!

Tell you what, give me your size and I'll make you a shirt. If shipping ends up silly, I have a plan. My sister lives in Belgium and I'll see her at Christmas. I'll pass her the shirt and your address, she'll act as an international t-shirt mule, and mail it to you from Ghent. What could to wrong?
Good Morning Mazdeuce.
That is a very generous offer that I will gladly take you up on. Being a small chap a 2XL should be perfect ;) and I will be sure to wear it in some interesting places to spread the word. And because you like a quick wagon heres a couple of snaps below of a few interesting places we visited this year on our mad 3000 mile road trip down to the alps, next years should be exciting too so if the t-shirt makes it i will get a photo of somewhere different.

Anyone else think the logo from the shirt would be amazing on a trucker cap?

I might head down to Cars and Coffee. Houston being Houston the R63 is a parking lot has been, but I haven't been to one in a long time. That stanceworks NPR is amazing.
I've had a soft spot for those for a while and always wondered what you could to to one. My only nitpick is that they should have made the front rack on the flatbed follow the lines of the cab.

I bought the biggest channel locks they had at Harbor Freight yesterday. Not happening. The plywood socket is brilliant, I do love my jigsaw. If that doesn't work a proper 2 5/8 socket is only $20 on Amazon.
In reply to everyone else :
When the R63 thread blew up I made an effort to respond to every new poster. I haven't been able to do that here due to the volume of new people and the software changes on the board. I am reading EVERY post and I appreciate all of you reading along. Please stick around, make a new thread for your projects, or offer help/kind words to the other builds on here. This is a great community and I'm glad so many people have joined. Mrs. Deuce suggested this morning that we spend the $100 and purchase a t-shirt making press, which is basically a cross between a waffle iron and a regular iron. It's looking like that might be a good idea. By all means, keep asking for shirts, I'll keep adding to the list, and I'll put in a huge shirt order on Friday. This is going to be fun.

That car is stunning, and the roads, good god the roads.........
I love North America an the web of roads that stretches across the continent, but I admit I'm jealous. I need a plane ticket and a rental car and about six weeks to explore.
In reply to mazdeuce :
I'd be in for an XL shirt. I'm happy to pay for my shirt as a wrench-hand if you need the help.
I'm in for a large shirt! I appreciate that you don't want any money, but could I suggest that you pick a Harvey recovery charity and I would love to make a donation in Ferdinand's name. Give me an email address and I'll PayPal anybody you say. I love this project!
I got linked to the Unicorn thread through MSN many moons ago, so glad I took the trip down the rabbit hole, if the boss only knew how much time I've spent reading the R63, Grosh and other rabbit hole links....
This project excites me and your writing has inspired me to try a build of my own, looking to build an expedition type of vehicle, light off roading and camping truck for my wife and I, so thank you for the inspiration and the "It's only nuts and bolts assembled by man" mentality. First step is to find the right truck. Know where I can find a good 1st. generation Tundra or Titan Pro-4x close to middle TN?
I would love an XL shirt, and I will up the donations to a suicide prevention charity that my family supports. Thanks again for your great writing.
The only thing in the way of technical advice I could offer is, have you tried a large crescent wrench? I bought a cheap one years ago just to tighten trailer hitch balls.

We did have an amazing trip just a shame we didn't have more time to explore. Some of the high mountain passes we wanted to drive were still closed due to snow at the end of May. One morning we drove over a mountain at 2300m and it was below freezing with deep snow but with the road plowed and a couple of hours later we were in Monaco and it was 32C. We did manage to drive the Stelvio Pass which was a lot of fun - 48 hairpins on one side!.
Col De La Cayolle

Just outside Monaco

I think we will go back for a couple of weeks next summer and then the following year we will be hoping to drive across the USA
Mrs. Deuce suggested this morning that we spend the $100 and purchase a t-shirt making press, which is basically a cross between a waffle iron and a regular iron.
Now, if the shirts come smelling like waffles then you've really got something.
I would wear an XL shirt like it's my favorite rock band! If I could obtain a shirt Mr. Deuce, it would make my year...
If you want a medium T-shirt going round the tracks (well there is really only one now) in Northern Sweden I'd be happy to wear it, it would be an honour in fact. I'll be going to NorCal (Bay area) and the SEMA show in October/November so postage to California is sufficient.
I could even bring a couple of T-shirts into Europe if you need more couriers. Either mail them on or hunt some GRM'er down on one of my too many work trips around Europe.
Mrs therealpinto is already very used to us hauling strange stuff back home from wherever we go. Half a Capri dashboard panel from Californa is the coolest part so far.

MazD, I'd love a Ferdinand shirt in size large. In return I would like to make you an offer. My Uncle John was a big truck wrench for his whole life. Along with building many many race cars. Before his passing he gave me quite a few tools. Many were for the big trucks. Please make a list and PM me the socket sizes you need. If I have them, I will send them your way. They may not be as pretty as Slippery's wrench, but they have history!
Thanks much and keep on wrenching.

Please add me to your t-shirt list for an XL, donations to the Harvey and Irma cleanup funds forthcoming. Enjoying this and the Unicorn projects, reminds me of my old 53 IH one ton pickup with dually rear axle which had been stored in a barn and was a mouse condo prior to my putting it back on the road. Loved the old non-synchro tranny on that truck, drove it for 20 years and have had many regrets after selling it. Engine ran like a sewing machine, but the brakes were very sketchy when the truck was heavily loaded.
One large Ferdinand T please,
Donation to the local food bank on the way.
