Had to take care of some family stuff.
Hopefully this week sometime.
Also:
The kenwood ez500 i purchased in 2002 for this car died. Well, mostly dead. Regardless, no longer really operable. I just ordered a new head unit from crutchfield. Also pulled out the onld single channle punch amp that leys 500 wats at 2 ohms. We'll see if the old jl 12 dies....
Dusterbd13-michael said:I picked up a bypass regulator from ebay. We had used one on the amc challenge car to step down from an efi system to a carb. I figured it worked then, it works now.
And it was 35 bucks. Just took it apart, cleaned all the aluminum chips out, and modified the bypass poert by stepping up two drill bit sizes on ghe oriface. Figured that would give me finer control of the amount of pressure reduction. I didn't take pictures.
Wound up at a 3/16 oriface for reduction of fuel pressure. Now, its actually adjustable from zero to 10psi. Instead of 15psi minimum.
using E36 M3box as a workbench to polish valve covers while on the phone for work.
Theyre coming out good enough for me. Not show quality, but neither is the car.

False.
It photographs well.
And is probably nicer than i think. Im the guy that sees every single flaw in whatever i build.
You need to just look at pictures, not the actual car. You won't see the defects if you look at the pictures.

Not drivable yet, but alive. And idles better out of the box than the megasquirt did.
Why was I thinking all Mopar V8's had the dist up front?
In reply to 759NRNG :
Big blocks have them up front at an angle. LA and Magnum small blocks have them at the rear.

I'm the same way. I can hold my own flaws in my heart forever.
My daughter is similar - she made me a cake for my birthday the other day, and she got totally stressed-out about her frosting and decorating job. It looked great.
Im really excited. I have to tidy up some wiring, check rev limiter settings, and chase some dash issues as well as the head unit swap. Fill cooling system, and see what its like when it gets up to temp.
But fires right up and holds idle. Done. Finished. Happy. Even has good response blipping the throttle.
Floats are adjusted, fuel pressure set. Fast idle set.
Close. Very, very, very close. But time to quit for the night.
