Yeah, and accept that it takes the day. Paint ( even primer) is not what you want to do when you have a time limit on the activity.
The good news is this is a high fill round. The bar is pretty low because high build is just a sanding opportunity where you are going to sand most of that expensive stuff right back off !
On the plus side, sanding high fill is kinda gratifying because it will expose all the good work you have done already. Its where you start to see how nice the finish is going to be.

Exactly, I need to fine a day I can do it. It's almost ready. Need to pop it off the dolleys, clean under it, clean it, and spray.
OK, Paint is scheduled for Sunday!! Wife has committed to me having half the day. Supposed to be 73 and partly cloudy. Seems about right!
I have some prep to do

Should be fine if you have all the stuff laid out and in place ready to go. Have you done a test run with the moded gun?
Scoth Brite taken to all the curvey areas. On its wheels again, and window cleaner wipe on 3/4 done.

I too have much excite! I don't want to work anymore this week!!!!
I do have to clean the house this weekend too sadly...
Thanks guys! I hope its pudry. I really cant tell just yet.... Never done this before. Lots of masking this time with the valence and fenders hung.
Plan is spray the back, close garage door except for a little gap and run an air mover blowing under the door.

Nope.... But I saw a YT video
Planning to prep abit Friday and sat also.
First go, don't fully load up the gun. I did that when I was spraying high-build on the Volvo and had a gun issue. The stuff has like a 15 minute spray window and I made an expensive paperweight and a bricked gun as I dicked around too long trying to sort it out with a cup full of primer.

Thanks for the always helpful advice!! This has a 40 min potlife @72, I intentionally did NOT get the fast activator. Also the PPS cups, maybe helpful to be able to whip the cup back off. I was also warned to pull the screen outs of them, and strain into the cups after mixing.
Now how much should I mix at once? I have 3 gallons sprayable.
Why pull the screen out of the PPS cups? I use the same ones and never really had a problem with the screens in there; they seem to prevent you from getting every last bit of paint, but you'll never get every last drop from any cup.
In reply to java230 :
The screen at the bottom of the cut/input to the gun was one of my problems spraying high build or at least that is what I concluded. I don't use them in any of my guns anymore. I poured it through the filter paper. Stuff is thick. A speck of dust or ten ain't gonna matter in the high build, its mostly going to get sanded.
As long as you are confident in the gun, mix up what the gun hold and enough for the next gun load. If possible have a buddy mixing the next batch as you spray. Your window might let you get away with more pre-mixed. I was actually clearing the gun with gun wash between rounds because I was paranoid about the first round affecting the fresh cup fill.

This stuff is so thikc it doesn't flow through the screens well. Its 4-8 mils dry per coat

Hmmm I was thinking mixing up 1/2 a gollon (plus the hardener)..... So 5 cups ish worth. I think with as thick as this stuff is I am going to go thrugh it in a hurry....

Go for it. You have nothing to lose and I am just spectating at this point! You are using a different product than I did, so my experience is just anecdotal anyway.
In reply to NOHOME :
Ha your experience is SUPER helpful. Similar product.... I have winged everything else.... May as well keep it up!
