I might be able to do the wind up and the swing, but I'm pretty sure I'd falter before I got there.

Mine also! I have a battery one that kicks ass.
I need to organize a fair but before I get to leak blower stage. The garage is a mess. Need to get good will stuff gone, move motorcycle over, put tools away etc
Should I replace all the plastic I hung for the primer?
Yes on replacing the plastic every color change. Damn primer overspray particles always float down if you don't. Especially bad with accumulating time.
The roll of static cling stuff from the auto paint store is pricey but fantastic. I may use it to store cars for winter after using it for some paint work recently.

I will have to research. I don't know of it.
Pretty sure this is what I bought. It's multifold with a static side and a glossy side. it tears off in lengths and is wide enough to wrap (at least smaller vehicles) front to back and has enough material to fold under. It just sticks itself to a cleanish surface with the static cling effect and then you tape off - cut out whatever features you want open.
A painter buddy showed it to me recently and I was impressed.
magical static painters plastic sheet

Ah static cling stuff, I think I have seen that! I was just hanging painters plastic from the ceiling.
This is gonna b such a nice ride when u get it completed I can't wait to finish mine as well I'm not going into mine as in depth as u are urs I am putting in a motor cleaning up as much as I can and replacing the rusted pad spots then throwing some pain on mine and going into the woods mine is a 71 1210 4x4
If I told you that you should re-mask all the paper on the truck, will you get mad at me?! Kinda the same deal as the plastic.
In reply to NOHOME :
Good point. No I was planning to re mask all that.
Plastic will get redone too.....
I have been known to use the cling plastic in place of masking paper to fill large gaps cause it is so much larger in size
In reply to NOHOME :
Thanks, I will order some. I had to use plastic for my back window as it was too big for paper.
Lots of cleaning needed still.... So much dust and cat litter in the garage.....
In reply to java230 :
I am not sure why, but my brain translated "cat litter" to "cat E36 M3ter", and I was confused for a moment. My brain has had a long day.
Seam sealer, I used UIpol Tiger seal. Holy crap that is sticky. And really hard to get out of the tube.
Here is the WTF moment, I tired to wipe it wil my finger and it ripped the tip off the glove!
Did not wipe down that nicely, not sure if I should bother with it or not. So much lacquer thinner....
Still need to do the gutters, but it was tacking up so fast I am glad I did not do them yet.
Took the truck off the jack stands to get at the roof a bit easier, could not resist throwing it on the wheels on.
And all the way up. (required to get the jack out from under it!)
