Ha, it's my wife's parking spot , just has a drain and hose and whatnot in it
it sits really well, just needs a quick altitude adjustment. Lots of wavy panels that will need attention. I'll take care of the suspension and brakes first. Then get into the motorvation.

You see it's a John Deere bug shield? Perfect for a farmer from Charter Oak, Iowa; that's who bought it originally for $16,977. It's covered 237,000 miles and looks great with the top down!
Haven't had time to touch it, worked out of town this week and assisted in bringing Queso back to Ohio. I did pull the owners booklet to peruse and found the original sticker in there
I'm also pretty sure I'm obligated to find one of these jackets from the mopar accessories booklet. 1989 looks pretty alien from here.
I also put up a rack in the garage tonight to get the rest of this stuff off the floor and make some space
Belltech doesn't actually make this kit anymore so even though they are listed everywhere for sale there aren't ACTUALLY any. Suspension source gave me a good deal on the complete 4/4 kit IF I was willing to wait while they made ten kits; sure thing. Unfortunately they shipped it signature required and I work out of town so for the last week I've tried to get the thing tied down somewhere so either my wife or I could snag it. Today it was delivered to dollar general and I picked it up when I got back in town tonight. Pretty excited to have it here since that the first thing I want to start on suspension and brakes.
Soooo, the new job has really kept me tied down but last night this popped up on CL
I'm going that way for work this coming week but knew it would be long gone so Pat and AxeHealey were my first calls. Andrew checked it out for me this morning and grabbed the title and I'll grab it Monday night as I roll through. Guy said the swap was out of a 70 dart. Pretty cool!
Having been through it a little bit it's a long way from stock; at 22xk miles it's experienced some hackery. I cleared out the garage and made space last night for the Dakota to move from the barn but I think I'll move this one in first to make sure it can run and get the wiring straight before I move the Vert back up.
That Benz on D90s is absolutely incredible.
Your taste in vehicles that don't make sense to most people is impeccable, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Can't wait to see where the Dakota vert goes!
It's a smokin' deal for $0, that's for sure. A bit of information the guy gave me as I left yesterday is that his dad bought the truck new. Pretty cool.
$2800, needs some brake work. Only rust I've found is in the bottom of the fenders under the cladding
edit: pictures make the paint look great as well but it isn't. Many MB of this vintage share the same issue. There is a the weird dent in the front drivers fender and the front bumper cover is broken. I have a decent fender and another bumper cover to include.

Can't tell you how much I appreciate your help on a Sunday morning. Thank you
Grabbed the free truck after work and delivered it to one of my shops to hide it until I head home later this week. It's...bad... but it's free and has a lot of parts I can reuse. Also, a couple sets of wheels, two good sport doors, a good fender, another tailgate and a big box of extras. Not shabby for gas money.
