Only not competitive due to lack of development, not necessarily due to inherent faults of the car vs. the Honda.

Not a mazda but I thought the Focus SVT got reclassed and was a pretty strong contender now vs the non S coopers which are a different class?
A certified set of scales shows my car to be 2440 with a full interior (no poweer sunroof, Manual windows, and no A/C, and 3/4 tank of fuel). I bet I could get it down to around 2200-2300 if I felt compelled to remove some interior stuffs.
This is with the F2T swap and stuff though, right? I'm basically trying to figure out weight on a BONE stock one. Also, all GSs have sunroofs, just manual v. power?
dansxr2 wrote: yeah, mines the F2T swapped one. The sunroof in mine is some aftermarket job, I wish it were power!
And yours was a GS, right? If so, that'd be proof of a non-sunroof GS. (I wasn't sure if they existed.)
In reply to SpeedTheory:
It's probably about the same, maybe a little heavier. I would expect full assemblies to be within 50lbs of each other.

Ohhhh.... i did not know that!
Pretty! Where did you get it and at what price if I may ask. My wife would love it on our miata I'm fixing to start on.
Normally it was $279/qt. I got it for $199/gallon via an email offer. Its actually an intermediate coat that's sprayed over a basecoat, I'm doing over black as it shows the most drastic color change over a dark color. Very excited to see it all done!

This rocks!
This paint job seems to be taking forever and a day... Waiting to see if I can source a different driver side door, as the bottom isn't straight, and my rear bumper is cracked by the inside of the license plate. A have the hood, doors, front fenders, and outside of the hatch to do yet. There is some debris in the topcoat, but I believe it'll sand & buff out. Then to pull the engine to fix a rear man seal that's leaking and shoot the engine bay while its out. I'm looking forward to meeting you all at the challenge!
So.... Who's picking up a green KLZE swapped MX-3 Sunday for a measly $200? THIS GUY! I think it jumped time, but its worth more than $200 in body parts to me, and I can easily recoupe money with the rest!!!
