Swapped plugs. #8 was gross.

Put new orielly special wires on....
Hell yeah!! I've got a 2011 sedan in the same color. Hopefully its easy to get sorted. I started having some diff whine around 65k miles (but only when cold or turning, not constant) I drained and filled with GM fluid (88862624) and it is quiet now.
In reply to Doubleoh9 :
Nice! I dont think the whine will go away.... And its been leaking. But I think a drain and fill may keep it alive a bit longer.
Misfires again this morning. Much less, but still #6 is the worst.
Try swapping the #6 coil with another cylinder, see if the misfire is still on #6 or follows the coil. If still on #6, I would do a compression test to make sure it isn't mechanical issue.
In reply to 81cpcamaro :
I was getting it on a few cylinders, so I may just replace all of them.... Im sure they are tired at 95k.
I can run compression test if needed.
In reply to Recon1342 :
Yes terrible. No idea what would cause the white crap on it.
In reply to java230 :
Usually white deposits like that are caused by a lean condition or a plug that is too high of a heat range. Colder plugs and/or proper AFR are the fix. The rest of the plugs look pretty good. Could be a clogged/weak injector, and that would be the easiest place to start...
Swap the #6 coil to a different cylinder to see if the misfire follows before you throw anymore parts or diagnostics at it. If it doesn't move the misfire could be wiring, fuel, valvetrain or piston related. If it moves OE or NGK coil.
In reply to RacetruckRon :
Ill move it.
Updated my scanner software, and now I cant see any modules other than ECU...... Grrrrr
Cant find the misfire section any more.....
Well I romped on it. Full bucking loss of power flashing cel. Key cycle and it's back to normal..... Wtf. No cel on....
P1101 Intake air flow system performance.
P0300 Misfire
And....
I think the cats are plugged. I got a exhaust rattle, which sound suspiciously like a broken cat....
Slow o2 sensor response both sides.... P013A B C and D... So all 4 o2 sensors.
So it seems perhaps I have a bad ground which is just throwing everything out of whack.... I will investigate... Apparently these things are very voltage sensitive.
Cat codes came right back tho, and with the rattle I am pretty sure they are toast.

A bad ground wouldn't surprise me especially with how it looked like most of your misfires were on the even bank.
If the cats are plugged that would be a good excuse for a set of longtubes and full exhaust depending on how strict emissions are by you.
In reply to RacetruckRon :
except for the part of actually installing the headers, doesn't look like much fun to me.
In reply to RacetruckRon :
I am pretty sure they are toast, I though heat shield rattle at first, but I could not find anything loose or touching..... Broken cat core seems like a likely culprit. And yes, long tubes are a good fix.
