Another Fiat wears out its welcome.
I love this thread. I had a '74 X1/9 that was originally my sisters for $500 after insurance totaled it after an engine fire in 1975. It ended up costing me $300 to repair everything. I did have to deal with rust issues in 1980...nothing near as bad as this car, but in pretty much all the same spots. I then repainted. It did get T-boned at one point which resulted in a crazy trip through a cemetery dodging headstones while one rear wheel was locked up by the fender stuck in the tire. The other guys insurance fixed that mess. I drove the car over 100K miles and sold it for $1700 in '86. I would pick up a rust free one...if such a thing exists...and if the wife would permit...too many cars already...
The X has left the building. I just didn't have the time to work on it anymore so it got sold to a certified Italian car nut down in Ft. Lauderdale. It'll be sharing warehouse space with a 124 coupe that is getting a full resto, so I think it's in good hands. This build thread is done, thanks for watching.
