Nice work!
looking great...proof you dont have to go berzerk with swaps and putting motors where they dont belong to be competitive (though, none of us mind when you do).
It looks great!
Damn fine job Steve. I never thought I'd say this, but I really like those SN95 wheels. Good color combo.
amazing info on OEM wheels

Dropped the trans today, pics pending.
The clutch plate had about 25% of the friction material left, the pressure plate appears intact. As we worked the bell off, black powdery fluff was falling everywhere and the starter was clogged with the stuff.
So the clutch did fail completely and the starter was locked up with carbonized woolly stuff.
The good news is the trans, engine etc are all OK,
That does appear to be the definition of 'terminal failure'. Keep up the great build thread. It is great!
Pieces and parts being rounded up, seems I have sourced some interesting OEM parts on my travels
I have found
and the good news is they were all swapped for interior parts, who would have though the stock early LX parts were rare, ie: visors, electric window switches and surrounds, 1/4 windows, door cards and more, all have value. alright.
I also have the assistance of a fellow GRMer, who has requested to remain nameless, (if he wants to speak up it is up to him) who can build some custom A arms to my spec for the cost of materials. This is going to rock,

Thank you, I am so glad someone finally noticed that
Finally got the clutch done.
Parts cleaned and painted
Swapped rear seats, rear plastic panels etc for a aluminum flywheel of unknown name, good thing is the guy does machine work and refaced it for me as part of the swap.
I had the destroyed clutch rebuilt to the original Centreforce spec by a local company.
While it was uncluttered under there. I got busy with grease remover and cleaners.
Well I bit the bullet, the Rustang is now at our friend John's shop for a cage install. It will be Challenge compliant.
John has had a serious accident in a race car and is VERY aware of building a safe cage.
Will, take some photos of the cage build for me plz.
Pix will come. Since I can usually only get out there on Sundays, I will have John send updates as it progresses.
Still can't believe you worked-out that trade for Baucom's old Trans-Am Mustang bodywork. That should shave some weight...
