Wasn't joking but if I were you I'd fix the brakes before trying to sell. Lot larger market for a vehicle that runs and stops.
I too was very much into cars, and teaching myself how to work on them, at a very young age. Most the the teens on here, are one of the regulars kids. You can definitely learn from folks here.
Most of the guys on here are older, and don't do the rapid fire text style writing of the younger generation... as such, it it important to slow down enough to read what someone says.
What Stampie is actually offering, is to send you $100 to buy brake parts with, and all you have to do, is promise to spend it on brake parts, and pay him back whenever the jeep sells. Since a running car still sells better if it stops, also.
Back when drum brakes on all 4 corners was common, that's where a lot of us older guys learned to pull wrenches on cars; I was learning brakes, points, and plugs, prolly before the 2nd oil change I ever did!!!

I don't blame your dad at all. See if he'll front you the brake money if you pay him back when you sell it.

While, my dad won't let me, as he thinks it's a scam.
With folks not familiar with this forum, that would be a normal reaction. It would be really cool if you, as a teen, could win your dad over into interacting with the guys here, instead of the normal other way around!

$400 for a line? You can do a lot of things that you don't think you could.
Here's a link to EVERY hard line for the entire vehicle (e-Bay) for only $195. If you only need the front passenger side line, contact them, and buy only that one (it'll be less)
It's faily simple to replace a line, then you just need to bleed the system.

Yeah, I found that! But it's for non ABS, and mines a ABS
Contact them directly, I'm sure they'll have the line you need.
MrStickShift said:But I can't do the breaks myself, and it's over $400 to get it done.
That's why DIY repairs can save a guy some money.
Remember, a week ago, you did not know how to get it to run!
There are a few simple steps to replacing a line... repeat till all rusty hard lines, and any leaking soft lines are done. You could even practice taking a line loose at some junk yards.
Take a picture of fitting, and post on here. We'll be glad to explain.
Bleeding is a process, but done in correct order, is fairly simple. We will help ya along, if you keep a positive attitude, as you have in most posts.
