Alright, so me and my dad aren't gonna be able to get to the breaks until November, so I'm gonna sell it now.

I was strictly referring to this forum, not internet in general, or forums in general.
GRM is the only place online I've ever lurked, where a guy like Stampie, would offer to front a 14 year old kid, that no one here knows, $100 to get brake parts!
Good luck. It doesn't cost you anything to learn some stuff and fix it yourself.
Get a friend or whatever to help you bend the line. Where are you? I'm sure somebody here would help!
You missed it the first three times people told you this: The things that make a vehicle or bike stop are called.... "brakes".
Not "breaks".
Your non running tin worm perforated leather and wood grain "special edition" XJ looks like a $500 parts donor (at best). Good luck getting some money for it.
Different topic. Have you ever gone to a LeMons event with your dad? That seems like a good time.

While I think it's real, my dad thinks it's a scam.
And he is not wrong in the least to assume so. Without interacting with GRM for a while, he is completely right.
On the "frustrated easy" part, that's very normal as well. Harder to stay focused on something , when bairly into our teens as well.
Knowing this, about yourself, can go along way to helping overcome it. And wrenchin' can actually help teach it!
