Thanks, that's good enough for me.  Motor oil going in now, slowly because I'm siphoning it but that's not really work for me so I don't care.

Thanks for bringing fire ants north.  I hope they can't survive our winter.  ;-)

I can't be the first idiot to transport them up here.  Teh googles says they can't survive north of the Ohio river.  I'll keep an eye out for the exterminator at the house I swept them out in front of.  laugh

It was at Blossom up here by Cleveland.  I assume you're in the Cinci area?  Might be a bit of a drive to give me a hand cheeky.  Let me know if you're ever up this way!

Hit the echeck self-serve kiosk on lunch, had a bit of an issue finding the ODB port as it's no longer attached under the dash, it's just loosely tucked up into the other wiring.  Then ran over to the DMV and got my registration and plates.  Forgot it's like 4x more expensive to register a truck than a car so I didn't have enough cash to register it thru next August so I'll be back there in the next 2 monthsfrown.

Then ran up to the closest advance that had 3 quarts of pennzoil synchromesh.  Got them for about $6.5/quart with a 25% off online code.  Almost ordered it last night but they only had a 15% off code, looks like they change them every hour now?  Either that or it was different between mobile and desktop.  I'll keep that in mind for future large orders.  Grabbed some extra oil filters to get me up over $30 so I'll get $5 off my next $20 order.

Plan to swap the fluid out tonight.  Having the trans full of oil didn't fix the noise, and it seems harder to get into 4th now.

Oil pressure came up from 30ish to a bit over 40 at idle after the oil change.  I guess the filter was pretty dirty.  I might cut it open if I have time, but not really sure it's needed, it's not going to change anything now.

No you got it wrong. They can't swim across the Ohio river but now you've berked that up.

berkeley, we're screwed then, I used to enjoy laying in the grass, guess that's over.  I forgot how much those berkeleyers hurt, hadn't been bit by one since I was probably 13 or so.

Trans fluid is in.  It took exactly 2 quarts, of course it didn't start leaking back out until I opened the third quart of fluid and pushed the rest of the fluid out of the hose with the third quart indecision

Guess I have to keep this thing long enough to need to change the fluid again wink.

I also got the passenger seat reinstalled.  It's so much cleaner and softer feeling than the driver's seat that hasn't been cleaned.  Hopefully that's tomorrow/Saturday.  We'll be going to the Indians game Sunday so that blows most of the day Sunday.

Working on talking SWMBO into taking it to the old Kmart parking lot to work on her clutch skills.  It's either that or she works on learning it driving around the yard, after all that's how I learned as a young kid.  Clutch drops are less exciting in grass, and less damaging...
