I've tried to sell two cars on eBay. Both sold and had the high bidder or BIN buyer back out.
Needed to make some progress in January. This is when you know its going full racecar.
Now I just need to grab the mustang wheels off the shelf and start making room with the cutoff wheel.
eBay should take a $50 earnest deposit before allowing bids on cars.
If winner backs out, the $50 goes to the seller. If the bidder doesn't win, $50 goes back to bidder.
The problem with the second chance offer is the 2nd place bidder will always feel like the seller was the "winning bidder" and is just scamming their bid up.
In reply to Robbie :
Will be relisted starting Sunday. Can't get my fee money back until the February 1st. Still haven't determined if this is a bigger time waster than craigslist/facebook. Junkyards only a mile away if this gets too out of hand. Not concerned about space or money currently so I've got that going for me.
In reply to Andy Neuman :
Before junkyard my offer stands. Might even work something out for more with LS.
In reply to Stampie :
I'll accept $.10 as long as is it is a 1916 - D dime.
^was buying coins on eBay for my grandfather this week.
Now there's a loophole we haven't explored (and probably shouldn't).
Currency worth more than face value.
In reply to Andy Neuman :
I actually have one but it came from my grandfather. Funny thing he only collected for the silver content. He left all the silver dollars and half dollars to my mom and uncle because they were worth more for the silver value. All the dimes and quarters he left me were actually worth more.

The 17inch mustang wheels should fit with just some pulling on the fenders with 245s in the front. I believe you can fit around 275 in the rear with some pulling.
I ran them for years on my 2nd gen turbo track car. Stock body with a minor fender roll.
I may need to go with the 15x8 Jeep wheels with only 245s. This set contacts the coilovers without the spacers. This is a 17x9 with 295 and a 1" spacer. Rears are 335 on a 17x10.5, I'll get one down to try tomorrow.
I know Fbodys don't really set up well for wide body modifications but I really need to buy one so I can use these wheels that have been sitting on the shelf way too long. Bottom tire is the 295 I was trying on the RX7.

My FMV trade sheet is going to get confusing. I swear I traded .10 for this crate LS3.
Need to find an old guy that likes coins and cars.
The 335 tire still touches on the inside with a 1" spacer. If I switched to more tame 275/295 setup they would fit. The 17x8 with 245s fit without spacers and the 15x8 wheels fit with spacers. Choices, like the car will ever run.
After mathing my new order of coins I could buy my injectors from my grandfather for $2.60.
Robbie said:I will absolutely not be recommending to skimp on fender flares.
I had my set of ridiculously wide wheels on my challenge car today and said to myself, "I wonder if flares would cover the tires?" Three sets of flares later and none were wide enough... ordering a welder.
Maybe I should just use the stock skinny wheels and order sticky tires. In the true spirit of being cheap that is probably the cheapest way to go faster.
My wife said my explorer outfit was a little too much on our trip to Tulum in Mexico this past week.
For your entertainment and the fact that I was wearing a GRM shirt.
In reply to Robbie :
I think it was when she found me trying to trade my sun hat for a sombrero. I figured the bigger brim would provide even more protection.
I have never before been so sucked into a thread. for people building an ls FC (like myself) this thread is EXTREMELY helpful. it has helped me more than you know thus far. thank you.

I bet you finish yours before I finish mine. Unless you get too side tracked by other projects.
This week I've been listing stuff for sale, random parts I don't ever plan on using. Is craigslist only used by scammers? 10 different but the same messages in under an hour.
In reply to Andy Neuman :
Is it still availables? I am interested in the item. Please send me an email at cashscam.fraud. I can send full payment to your account.
In reply to Andy Neuman :
Well i do hope to have it done in a few months to test. However you are further along than me lol.
Other projects are a problem though. Replacing a motor next week. Heads on a fox this week. Painting my mystic cobra, and fixing my trailer. Ugh lol
And would any of those parts your selling be helpful to my rxu build? Main thing im on the hunt for now is an fbody oil pan and pick up tube.
In reply to surfshibby07 :
You can get a "cheap" $100 oil pan on ebay but finding the pick up tube used or cheap is difficult. Using a F body pan really eats into the budget. I do have two broken/cracked f body pans.
Sold the pair of massive CCW wheels I've had sitting around since 2014 so far. Went to list a miata diff that I've had sitting on the shelf for a long time, assumed it was a LSD because it was on a car that should have had one. It is an open diff, carrying it to the scrap bin now.
