Following nocone's lead, I decided to do a thread on my "shop" build. Unlike nocones, I am adapting an existing structure into what I want it to be, as opposed to starting from scratch.
After renting the place for a bit over a year, I finally bought it. It is a long way from perfect, but the potential is there to turn it into what I need.
Basic info is 2400 sq-ft, on a corner lot. Building is divided roughly in half, with an 18' sliding door on the "vehicular storage" side, and a 12' overhead door on the "working" side. Nice, since I will only have to heat half of the building, more or less.
The main side of the building has 3 small rooms along one wall, one of which is where the water comes in. So I just need to install the bathroom there. The other two will be used for a small kitchen and office.
The "storage" side of the building has a room about 6x12, which will be used for storage, and house the air-compressor, to keep noise down in the shop-area. Plan is to run hard air-lines thru the trusses with chucks about every 8 feet along the walls of the shop area.
Also have a full attic for a "crash-pad", as well as additional storage.
Don't really have any decent pix yet, but will post some as they come...
