The more I touch it the more I want to get rid of the KE-Jet. It runs great, a little rich, but I'd love an EFI and decent intake manifold setup.

Who can fab me an ITB intake manifold setup? That's what I truly want. I can get one custom made from a company in Europe but they want at least $4k crying

Turbo wouldn't be too hard either lol

It looks like the interior should be a relatively easy fix.  Glad to see some progress.  However that KE-Jet system is kind of Steam Punkish.

Steampunk style drawing.

When its restored and polished it certainly gives off those steampunk vibes.

Finally got it home again, lol. Moving around the country with multiple cars is a PITA.

I am so glad you take the time and effort to keep up with your cars as you move. Over the years I've seen multiple cool projects fail or be sold as the owner is moved from base to base around the country/world. I would be sad to see this one leave you

For sure. I tend sell the cars that I know are temporary. This will be permanent. I probably wont sell any more of my Mercedes. I've missed every single one the (w140 s600 not included lol).

Looking for this line, part number 2014703875. Apparently NLA from the dealer and can't find it on parts websites.

Its the hose that goes from the fuel tank to the fuel pump and filter.

I will probably have to get one made at a hydraulic shop. But, the time it takes to find a shop then stop by when they're open is pretty hard for me. I'm usually working in the hours a shop is open. Would be nice for the part to just arrive at my front door.

New & custom sounds great (if a person has an Executive Automotive Assistant to do the legwork), but Googling the p/n got me a used one for 26 Euros:

Would used work?

I rather have new. Decreases the surprise fuel leak probability lol

I was watching that. But it went past my budget. You would have to buy a mint w201 to put that interior in.

ah yeah, it tripled in the last hour or so. That tends to happen on bring-a-trailer, which is why I've never bought anything from it lol

Got the car buttoned up and put over 200 miles on it this weekend. Its running pretty rich right now and has a weird flatspot around 3-3.5k but pulls very hard beyond that. I found another m104.981 for stupid cheap ($200) that I'll be picking up on Monday. I'll probably take all the CIS stuff off and use it for efi mockup or throw it in the w108. Hopefully the spare CIS stuff can go into my 190e to get it running just right.

Few things I'd like to do next:

- New exhaust because this one is leaking badly

- Find a 8k rpm tach because my car is pulling well past 7k rpm

- wavetrac lsd

- full brakes and suspension

- 16" or 17" wheels that I actually like

I'm still debating if I want to do an efi swap on the car or find a 3.6 m104 to swap in with a 6spd manual

No longer a debate, had it running like a top then the eha decided to take a E36 M3. Used the spare one and it worked for a bit then started leaking fuel. These CIS-e parts are getting old and hard to find. Time for efi
