Excellent thread. Very interested in Magic Juice. All set on thinking fluid. Maybe I missed it, what are you doing for engine management on the 'Bu?

Engine management at this point is Holley Terminator X, TH400 behind this setup, but that is subject to change as I waffle on buying a Holley Dominator.

New month, new car count.

1978 Malibu(eternal project), 1986 GMC Dually(haven't touched since purchased), 2006 Boxster(still need to get Durametric), and paid for the next project the end of June, a 1972 titled dune buggy that I need to transport from Iowa to Texas.I need to find the time to get some sold and done, only the Malibu and dune buggy will stay for now.  This week.....

I'm struggling to find it on the Dune Buggy Archives, but if you want to look through you may be able too find out what kind of buggy it is.

It's a Piranha, should be a  Mach V body.

Little, to no car work done the end of last year but I did pick up another distraction for the deer lease and got rid of the dually distraction.

Time to pare down the fleet. With the new SXS I can get rid of a 4 wheeler and my Jeep Cherokee, need to put them in the classifieds. Next up is to get the Boxster finished and sold, I hate seeing it sit taking up room.

Anyone have Durametric Pro around the Texas/Oklahoma area they would rent? Of course I talked myself out of the Pro model when I bought mine but then I didn't think  I'd need to reprogram the rear BCM.

My Jeep XJ sold to an enthusiast, more work done on my buddy's cars than mine. 1950 Mercury finished up and new wheels installed then on to his 1969 Charger with a 512 stroker which we are going through after an overheating incident due to a bad ground on the fan circuit.

No movement on my Malibu but I did get to replace a water pump on a 99 Nissan Altima for a buddies daughter that is in Texas at college, it was not fun. Traded a rebuilt 5.3 LS short block for a 2JZ because why not?And another project incoming from Nockenwelle  next weekend because who can pass up a square body Chevy truck.

Another buddy offered up a C4 Corvette rear end for the truck if I want it which gives me evil thoughts of a 2JZ, TH400, C4 rear end Chevy truck......

Truck has been picked up and has been stored temporarily and I picked up a new transmission for the Malibu.

Back to the Malibu. So when purchasing parts over the years at one point I had bought BelTech drop spindles loaded with new bearings/seals/rotors that had ARP 3" studs which have been around for years before plans changed further down the road. Once I had settled on the Superlite wheels then the idea came that I wnated to run the 9.5" wheels with 275/40/17's square setup. Dropped spindles will not work, no way a tire rod will go on with the 5.5" backspacing.

Next up is borrow a set of stock spindles that had been modified for C5 brakes, no problem, I just need to get the geometry right.

And they will work

Running at estimated ride height with zero shims I am at -2.3* of camber with camber going to -5.5* with suspension at full compression with no springs. This should work with custom front wheel wells to cover them up.
