This weekend I accomplished installing my shifter.
Replaced my tail light seals, after finding water in the trunk after it rained for like 3 days.
This morning I got some keys cut, and drove it some more. Its getting better and better every drive.
Nice find. I looked at a cheap '01 ACR before I bought my R/T. The guy didn't even know what an ACR was. Unfortunately, the interior smelled funny and the body looked like it had lost a fight with a grizzly, so I passed. How did the taillight gaskets fit? I just bought the same exact set and I'm hoping they fix my damp trunk problem.

Fit like a charm. Used the same ones on my R/T and both my 1st gen sports. This car smelled super musty from the leaky tail lights and the window being broken.
Three out of five of my Neons have had the dreaded taillight leak. It's frustrating that more companies haven't jumped on the Neon taillight gasket production trend. There's a relatively large market for them with these cars.
This weekend I swapped brake pads, Mounted tires and took it out and decided if I liked them.... So far so good! Also ordered all the parts for both 2g neon need to fix the suspention clunks and do timing belts.
Next oil change the car is getting a magnetic drain plug and a super strong magnet for the oil filter, just like all the other cars in the fleet.
Drove it into work today and took some back roads. Tires so far so good. Only thing this car needs really bad at this point is a timing belt/wp and front sway bar end links.
Picked up my missing rear floor matt, a vacuum line, a few shifters for cores and a spare set of rear disk knuckles this weekend from the junkyard.
It is always cool to see someone saving an ACR. I'm amazed how clean the underbody is for an Ohio car!
Update:
Really like these tires. Awesome in the rain, tons of grip from cold to warm and ride pretty good!
Got a ABS light today on my way into work. Wont be able to dig into that till early this week at a minimum.
JeremyJ said:ABS light is probably just low fluid in the reservoir.
Bad right rear wheel speed sensor. I just flushed the brake fluid a few days ago so i knew that was ok.
Right wheel speed sensor replaced.
Went to the junkyard Satruday and got a silver hood for this turd!
Put the headlights in this morning and fun fact you can fit front and rear seats and rear seats in the back seat of a neon.
Update, Waiting on brake pads and rotors to show up, and a few min I can pull it into the shop and swap out the interior.
