Psssh, you'll just cut the body off then sell it back to him anyway....
Update:
Blue passed the inspection, so now I have to submit paperwork and then wait.
While I'm waiting, I'm going to get to build a battery for Blue too. Red triangle popped up last night as I let it idle for about half an hour.

Its hardly any. You should buy 4 more before the end of the week. At least buy one...accidentally.
Yes, the staunch reminder that "buying cars" is not the same as "making money". There is the whole "work and effort" thing that stands in the middle.

True. It's a second full time job sometimes (at least it certainly feels that way).
Battery time & Indy-Wife snapped this pic as I was getting help:
Little guy feels as though he just climbed a Mountain to victory:
Opening the case to see what we got:
Yep, corrosion. Typical:
I've found standing it on end is the easiest way to separate the cells from the case:
I've got them numbered now too:
Here's the initial voltage information:
Honestly, it looks pretty good. I expected much worse for those cells that were a bit low. I'll have to contemplate on how to proceed.
#11 from the Dr. Prius screen, corresponds to # 22 cell, which is the lowest initial voltage at 7.88 Volts. I think I'll plan on just swapping that one out and doing a balance charge.
New replacement blade swapped in.
I use brand new McMaster Carr Stainless Steel nuts.
Swap cells so all the positive is on one side, all negative on the other. Then run a common wire across all of them on both sides. This is known as "balance charging" and gets them all to the same starting voltage so they play nice with each other.
Edit: looks like it'll settle into 7.98 V across the board.
Where were we?
Battery build. Yeah.
Of the more than a dozen of these batteries I've built I had a new failure on this one.
Broke off the stud on one of the cells while torquing it.
Of course that required a complete disassembly and rebuild.
And guess what? I broke a stud again on the second build, which meant I had the pleasure of assembling this one three times 😞.
Then I took it in for an alignment and got the leak in the rear tire patched. It's for sale at the end of the driveway now.
I had four different people express interest in Bluey before I received the paper work and had it ready to go. Then when I went down the list of people once it was good to go...... Crickets.....
.....So...... I listed it on the book of Feces and the first guy to come take it for a test drive shook my hand and we have an agreement at $4,650. He's coming Monday to take delivery.
