Pictures do not do that thing justice... It is so much more ridiculous, and awesome, in person.
When I stood in front of it, the damn bulldog on the hood was at eye-level!!!
I dropped the beast at Best One in Lima to get the springs reset and shocks checked, the goal is to ride like an F350, rather than a log truck.
Thanks to ChandlerGTI for the lead.
Anybody know of a source of gearsets for this, currently runs at 65mph at 3800 rpm with the 6.14 high range.
I've never purchased from this company, but I do day dream on their website from time to time: http://www.boyceequipment.com/#!rockwell-2-12-ton-axles/c1so0
How about mechanical injection? If you're gonna suck gas, might as well do it polished stacks right?
I used to work for Rockwell, I can dig up any maintanence manual for any rear end you want. Hell I may be able to find a chart that shows you what ratios were available for that axle, if you can find an axle model number.
EX:
RS20145
translates to: Rockwell, single, 20klb cap, 145 series housing
also this makes my burban look like a smart car!! I love it!
I believe the rear is a RD15120, I wll check when I get it back but I know its dual range and 15,000 lb capacity
