Rebody all the formula goodness into the yellow car, using the best of the stash?
Gold car has a 1974 455 "yy" v8.
Low Compression
It turns over freely.
It's backed up by a TH400, has headers, a mallory transistor ignition and dual transverse glass pack exhaust.
The 'extra' engine is a 455 with #96 heads, which are big valve, 95cc screw in stud 400 heads that yeild a higher compression when you put the on a 455. That engine is probably packing other surprises.

I already noticed that the drivers door hinge has zero play in it and the door has never drug across the door sill trim plate.
Tommy just asked if he could have it when I'm done.
He's 12 and a little wild.
455 Firebird for his 1st car? Hmmmmm
So I told him yes, he could have it as long as I got to keep 3 plug wires.
He agreed.

I don't know old Mallory stuff really well... is this all one system? Optical Pickup? The cap and rotor are VERY high quality.
The only thing heavier than honeycomb wheels is my mother-in-law.
Looks like you've got a great project!
Dude, that's some old school Mallory stuff. If I remember correctly, that's all one system. Pretty high end mid 80s vintage.
I've been reading through a banker box of receipts this evening.
I have found receipts for virtually everything that I have brought back so far (and shared here), plus a mountain of high dollar stuff that I have not physically located.
I hope it is a list of whats actually in the attic.... its going to be a long week until the next trip.
