Removed the vinyl center section and replaced it with VW GTi material, cooler on hot days, wicks off water well. New foam all around.
Hmmm, bought two yards, may have a piece left over big enough to do a headliner. =~ )

Those look great! I've been very tempted to swap GTI cloth seats into my wife's Sportwagen. The black "leather" is real sweaty in summer and ice cold in winter.

I was going to use that same color as a headliner for my Golf R, then it blew up.
Love it! I've been thinking of having the centers of my blue 911 seats done in the same pattern.
1970s had some wild plaid patterns.

OK, it's -8* so the bikini clad 914Driver is hibernating. This is what I can do in a garage. It does break up the black.
Not going to do the headliner; a) PITA, b) to enjoy it you have to bend way the heck over. May do the Frunk tire cover in the warmth of the basement.
