Having a BLAST down here at the Challenge! Car is running great, I did 5 autocross runs and 10 drag runs without even a hiccup. 31st overall in autox, ran a 15.489 best in the drag, not sure where that will put me. Everyone needs to come to this event!
Currently sitting 28th overall after drag & autox.
Made it home safe earlier this evening without any issues with the car. I checked the oil and coolant levels a couple times during the weekend and adjusted tire pressures, but other than that I did nothing. What an awesome event, I highly recommend it to all! Can't wait to go back again!
Very cool man! Your car was one I was curious about before the event but I had a bit of tunnel vision once the event started. Glad to hear it did well.
Nice showing, we'll see you next year.

Great meeting you guys. Good job.
Great meeting all of you too! I already have evil plans for my next challenge car, not sure if it will be next year or not. Depends on whether we buy a house with a garage between now and then. The Maxima will probably be up for sale in the next month or two.
Hoping to take the Max to Cars and Coffee on Saturday, still sporting all my stickers from the Challenge. . After that, I'm gonna clean her up and throw her on Craigslist, so let me know if you want to buy an awesome Challenge veteran Maxima!
Car is for sale!

I have been searching VQ forums for a while and have yet to find an answer to this question. I have the engine from a 96 Maxima in my sandrail. I want to upgrade the engine, and want to know which of the newer VQ engines will "bolt in" to the same transaxle I use. It is a Mendeola MD4S. I see the VQ37VHR is rated 325 to 370 hp. Z-Fever can make a standalone engine computer for most anything. I hope it is ok to ask this question on this thread, I think the commenters and author of this thread definately have the answer I seek. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
