Body will hopefully go on tomorrow if no issues are found

This is called foreshadowing

but I did get the body on, kinda. Despite several people assuring me it would, the twin cam body won't go on the s2 frame without some modified to the floors, firewall and chassis tunnel. So rather than cut up a perfectly good twin cam body even more I'm driving up to Indiana this weekend to fetch a couple of S2 bodies. Although I do like the reverse gasser look I achieved because the body wouldn't go all the way on

S2 body is better looking anyway :)

In reply to maschinenbau :

true but it doesn't give the same ute-like impression. more of a breadvan.

maybe that's my next project, convert the twin cam to front engine and make the back a bed.

1800 miles of driving this weekend but I now have  an incredibly decent and complete S2 body. Came with a lot of other stuff, so if anyone needs a 5 speed transaxle with an adapter plate for a 2Jz let me know. Also got a couple 4 speeds and other assorted odds and ends

I mean.  I don't NEED it, but if I had it, I would be trying to build something silly with it.

Like maybe a rear engined cobalt for example.

Or maybe a twin 2jz engined old Ford pickup truck...

Or maybe a rear engined model A.

Or maybe a dual engined forester.

Or maybe in the front of an LT1 powered corvair.

Just sayin.

That's why I'm trying to sell it, if I keep it I'll make bad decisions.

I would caution that i severely doubt the renault 5 speed transaxle is up to the task of a built and boosted 2Jz. So either keep it at stock-ish power levels or try to see if you can upgrade the internals

Also came with a nice re-chromed rear bumper, so I'm leaning towards having a rear bumper but no front bumper on the car

If you need bumpers I was planning to sell both of mine

I've actually got about 2 cars worth of them at this point, I just think the front looks better without and maybe a bumper would break up the flatness of the rear

How much for the 5 speed?

In reply to TurboFource :

Not sure yet, have to do some research to get a ballpark value. Is complete with bellhousing, clutch lever etc.

the 4 speeds are also complete. I didn't intend to become a Europa parts dealer but it seems like that role is being thrust upon me

Any idea which Renault 5 speed it is?

Can you PM on here?

It looks like an NG3, but the tag on the rear cover bolt should give a positive ID.

seats are in decent shape from the S2, might just dye them to cover up the fading in spots.

steering wheel has some splits in the cover but it's nice to have the horn button

New Europa body is registered. Just had to get a police officer to come check the VIN to make sure it wasn't stolen. My handwritten bill of sale was fine. Pretty easy to register your sketchy E36 M3 boxes in Georgia

Literally about to do that today, except the nice person on the phone told me they won't dispatch an officer since mine is drivable, so I will have to drive it there...adventure!

PM'ing you about a meetup at a local show.

Mine was still in the trailer, so I just brought it over to the precinct. Figured I'd have a shorter wait that way, they got to me pretty fast
