That's a big boy! I have a Holset HX40 off my old challenge car if that needs to happen. Not sure that this is the one for that. Maybe my next build .

Like I said previously, blow the engine with boost, pull one from JY and swap
This was more work than it should have been.
2v motor is on the ground. The wiring harness is off to the side. I went ahead and ordered an HP tuners box to help sort out all the codes I am going to throw from the 4v and t45 that are going in. Plan is to get that yanked this weekend but the Starlet body is outside blocking the door so that needs to be rehomed to somewhere out of the way.
In reply to Mr_Asa :
That would certainly work. I potential could put it my trailer and do the same. This would be easier to do on my own. However, the trailer is currently full of scrap metal so that will need to get taken in.
In reply to Mr_Asa :
I had such a hard time getting the body off that I didn't think to do this but you win internet points as this was pretty easy when there isn't a huge engine in the way. Thanks!

Woo!
Now get a friend to push you around the yard while you make engine noises.

I still have the 22s as no one wants them. Shocker, I know.
More cutting and removing of stuff in the way.
Getting the 2010 COP to work is going to be tricky. There is some length difference. Insert meme about guys your gf says not to worry about.
Are the 22s aluminum? I could melt them down and turn them into something cool.
Maybe.
Do apartments typically allow you to have a melt furnace in the yard/common areas?
Would be kind of funny if you brought them down and just left them in the yard of the guy that sold you the car in the middle of the night.
In reply to Mr_Asa :
It has crossed my mind to bring them and mount them on the car for the concours. For lolz.
Transmission and engine are out of the blue crown. While I was in there I found some really large rust holes through the frame so this thing was kind of trash already. I am going to replace some gaskets while the engine is out, swap the oil pan from 2v motor as the mark viii pan has some strange "features" I would rather not keep. Give it a good clean and maybe paint some stuff.
Holes!
Tearing the 4v down to the long block while it is on the stand. Some not great surprises.
This is the passenger front intake lobe. It looks worse than it feels. It doesn't appear disformed at least.
Definitely needs the 4v cooling mod.
I probably either need to replace the cams and followers or just put the 2v back in for the challenge.

I know and had a moment of doubt of the name but the name was too damn good. Also the 71 Starlets are fwd and never came to the US so eh, whatever.
Late to the party. My mom had a 1980 Starlet that was FWD.

Kind of. It was hard to tell because the previous computer wasn't tune for the manual transmission and was in limp mode. It started up fine though.
