I've been really impressed with how my new to me Volt drives. Yeah, it's not a Miata or Ferrari, but it's really solid and handles really well. The turning radius is right and the ride is controlled but comfortable. It feels like one piece, not the old car "parts in formation" feel as you described it. The range works perfectly for my commute. I do have complaints about the user interface that may have to do with it being Chevy or may have to do with it being a modern car but I think they're tolerable so far. I do prefer push buttons and knobs for climate control over this mess of touch screen and touch sensitive plastic labeled as buttons.

Love the texture of the dash.

They hide this big honkin plastic but being the mirror. I'm not sure they need all of the real estate, but it's all hidden from the drivers seat.
A lot of modern cars have a big camera/sensor pack hidden behind the mirror like that. Lane departure, headlight dimming, etc.
Can you shoot a shot of the whole dash?

I like the combination of buttons, knobs and touch screen. Important things have buttons. If I am griping, I'd prefer buttons for the seat heaters.

I am out and about today, so I had tunawife follow me to check on the brake light activity. They indeed are lit when decelerating using regeneration, even if you're not fully off of the pedal. The brake lights go out after the car is fully stopped. Thus, if one pedal driving, and fully stopped, you'll want to keep your foot on the brake pedal to keep the lights lit.
The icons along the bottom of the screen are permanent so they're basically like buttons that don't move?
I see the audio knob has a "home" button, is that only used for audio related things or can you use it for the overall interface?

That's an odd design choice on GM's part. Will the car keep itself in place once you've stopped, or will it roll downhill - ie, do you need to have your foot on the brake pedal for any other reason? I can see how the brake lights going out would give misleading information to the car behind you.

It has a hill stop feature. If it is being used, the lights stay on. Maybe there is a setting to use that at every stop. I don't know. It's fine either way.
It will roll slightly depending on the terrain at a stop otherwise. Also fine.

As far as I can remember, the hard and soft home buttons do the same thing.
The soft buttons across the bottom are permanent.
If the car doesn't actually have any sort of brakes engaged - ie, it will roll after coming to a stop - I can see why the brake lights would not be lit. It's no different than coming to a stop in a stick shift and sitting with your foot on the clutch but not the brake.

Apparently not a design choice. There is note of some reg (research for yourself) that governs the brake lights. If you want them on at a stop, touch the brake pedal. You really should be on the brake pedal when stopped anyway.
There is no friction brake involved without pressing the brake pedal.
There are other cars that work differently. I’m not saying better. Differently.
I am going to confirm one behavior, I’m thinking the regulation (which I have not devoted the time to reading) may have some room in it for different behaviors.
Cable solution looks good. I'm a little concerned about the plastic terminals being okay for the heat they may see.
Any electricians in here?

They are rated for that current and temperature per the data sheet. That's as good as I can get.

I'm still thinking one stripe offset to the drivers side with pinstriping surrounding it, maybe in green, is the hot ticket.
Is anyone good with photoshop?

Love that stripe.
Tuna, how's your wife like the Pacifica? Kiddo #3 just arrived. She is highly confident her 2013 Clubman is fine for driving from Woodruff to Downtown Greenville everyday. (she'll have two in the car). Eldest is in school and gets daddy drop off in the boxster!.

TL;DR, it hasn't been flawless, but it's really great.
any chance of laying down a lightning bolt pinstripe within the boundaries of the hood stripe, so the majority of the hood stripe is exactly as it appears above, but with an embedded lightning bolt shape maybe at the leading edge?

Like a lightning bolt reveal of the original car color within the wider part of the stripe on the bumper?

Carvana sent a check to reimburse me for an Excellent Vlair compressor, very nice plug kit, and slime can, which happily fits easily within the false floor in the hatch. Nice!
They have paid a local body shop of my choosing for the B pillar appliques and the little pins holding the cargo cover in the rear, but they are waiting on parts from GM.
All said, Carvana has been pretty great!

Yes but just an outline done with 1/4” tape, ie outlined not filled
