looks about the same as this puppy did initially.sooo many patches and pieces of random steel applied over decades
K first pic is the steering column from a 97 cobra.its tilty and has a perfect indexed double d 3/4" shaft on it.with a 14" shaft itll line up basically in the exact spot the stocker was with minimal offset of the joints.so now i has an ignition cylinder turns brights wipers and tilt.just need to build a carriage inside the dash for it which is happening right now
Second shot is the MGB front suspension bolted in place.had to deangle the rack mounts down 3/8" so now the shaft is aiming right at the column.big brake mod comes next
3rd shot is my new to me bandsaw. Never had one and now will never be without one...cutting the frame rails and stuff was easy peasy today
Cut up aboot 14" of 2" exhaust pipe with it...made some 30 degree rings so i can start making lobster style headers.for fun mostly
And this is the uber fancy fuel cell for it.measures out to 10.1 gallons...not huge but it fits minty in the frunk
Yes its a sink
Going to baffle it, weld up the drain hole and add an outlet( -6 an) then return will be at the top on the side.filler also goes to the side at the left rear so the filler door will be on that fat fender
Got a nice MSD pump for it plus a strainer filter in the tank and a factory Ford efi filter after it.then run lines back and voila we can light some fires
Got all the shiny bits back from the powdercoater today
The cam cover looks amaaaazing
Other stuff is just semigloss black which looks awesome but kinda dull in comparison to the wrinkle red
First photo is the first time i could really get in and make racecar sounds.love the floor it might stay
Second is the MGB booster and master and honda clutch master in a steel origami box
Third is the stock honda pedal hangers.have to rearch the clutch and brake arms but otherwise shes mint
In the mail today was a fuel sender so i can build the tank and also a quick release for the steering wheel.the column is heckin short so i just made one
3/4 double d shaft from allstar and top/bottom bearings from a 97 cobra column i ripped apart.thing feels awesome mice and smooth with no wiggle, plus i only need 2 steering ujoints with 1 straight shaft
