oh wow how did I miss this? Let me know if you want to move to a turnbuckle style rear camber arm. I can dig up my parts list and send over a couple dxfs for laser cutting.
Been knocking out more work on this thing like crazy.
Front sway bar just barely fits in there
Mounted the PS cooler in an almost stock fashion
Relocated the upper control arms down and cut off the extra material above that for extra room to get a steering shaft in there
Finally finished the torque arm. And have now started in on the wiring nightmare
Nearly 40hrs into wiring this thing and just beginning to see the light at the end of tge tunnel.
Almost done with the rear of the car. Should be down to remotes and center console stuff by the end of the day. Hopefully enough to put the interior back in.
Progress has been made at the front. Even made nice closeout panels to replace the rusted out lower fender areas.
Front end went back on last night. Quick fabrication of a bash bar so there's actually some crash protection on this thing.

I bet you're itching to get back to work on the new tube frame car...
Yes....but I also have a Mercury Grand Marquis sitting in the driveway for a 5 speed swap that needs to get knocked out

There's a reason I don't own a Corvette...lol
Drove it around the block today!
It's actually pretty dang good!
Needs an alignment, drivers side door popper is junk and the remote module is blowing the fuse the second it gets plugged in. Seems shorted internally since it triggers the poppers all at the same time.
I don't trust the coolant caps yet but it's not leaking any fluids...... I'm shocked
In reply to Asphalt_Gundam :
Congratulations on the huge accomplishment.
Are those wheels staying? 'Cause I think they look Great on the car.
In reply to Indy - Guy :
Yeah the wheels are staying. They were a big reason why my dad picked that Corvette to cut up
Drove the 50 to work last week so it could be dropped off for an alignment. Drove really good actually. Alignment was definitely off but was able to get camber and toe to the c4 vette specs.
Started raining but was making my way home without any wipers when my boot started getting wet.....
Ironically it was the window wiper mounts. My guess is they weren't tight enough but I gasket maker'd the heck out if them to fix that.
It was also uncomfortable driving without any mirrors that you can see out of. The previous builder put them where it would be nice looking...not functional.
I went with 60s gm generic mirrors which was a struggle to get to work too. Angled them as much as possible to improve visibility and still cover up the old holes. It's a lot better now and I didn't have to buy a pile of different mirrors hoping for a style that would work. I think they look decent too.
