So I just picked up a 95 mazda protege es, It has 130xxx on her 1.8 dohc BP an runs like a champ and is over all in very fair condition. I choose it because for 1200 and some change i couldnt get a more potent honda/toyota compact or sedan that was near as nice, and the disc brakes an limited slip are a very nice touch with the miata power plant. It handles very well even though i removed the power steering because i like the snappy responsiveness of the FWD with out power steering. Im currently saving to buy coils for it and a back up motor and tranny. I currently touge race the car but would love to race auto x in. Any one ever messed with a protege that style? Any subjestions? Seams to be a good start for a weekend mt. racer/auto x rig
