Yay, some progress today.
Trucks showed up:
Independent 169 trucks because old school, complete with holes for both modern and old school decks:
Bolt everything together with some 0.25-inch Mini Logo riser pads:
And, ta da, it's a skateboard:
Now to see if I remember how to skate after 30 years....
I had a Ramp Rat skateboard in the 80's like this

I had a variflex skate back in the day. Had a stoplight on it. Got run over.
Mike from Agent Orange just showed off this:
9.25x33 with a 15.5-inch wheelbase plus wheel wells.
Took it for a spin last night. Rides nicely. Love the soft wheels on the street. Trucks need to be tightened up a tad.
I admit, I have barely touched the board lately. I know, I'm a horrible owner.
But the good: Last night we saw Agent Orange (second show in two night for me) and before the show guitarist, singer and founding member Mike Palm took the board for a cruise. It's hard to tell, but it's mostly broken-up concrete.
He loves the wheels and says that the trucks felt great--I tightened them a smidge. If worried about wheel bite he said to add a second riser.
Here he is going for a lap through the venue's parking lot, about 10 minutes before getting on stage:

And, crap, I bought this the other night:
