I came across this today, and thought you folks might like it. It's a build done by the guys at POR-15. I saw this car at SEMA, and it's restraint was refreshing. (especially crowded together with all the over-the-top SEMA builds)

Split 'bones' on a dropped front axle is the bomb....for me at least.....no hairpins thankyou......great looking ol' skool high boy......and it ain't black!!!!
I like it. I think they got some inspiration from the Bob McGee '32 Ford (you can look that car up, but it's considered to be an iconic example of a 1932 hot rod build. It was the car the US Post Office put on stamps a couple years ago.)
That extension piece on the transmission tunnel should be a capital offense for a SEMA car!
I know it's weird, but it really bothers me that that part is on the car.

You mean the sheet metal cover that bolts down on the floor? It looks okay to me, I don't know how they would do the floors otherwise.
In reply to Crackers :
You just mean the ugly weld seam or the sheet metal work? That's invisible when the car's "done?" I'm not that picky about hidden stuff.
In reply to dculberson :
I'm talking about all the hammer marks in the radius, but the weld seam doesn't exactly give me the warm and fuzzies either.
I'm normally not that picky about stuff like that, but this was aimed at SEMA.
It's arguable over whether it's "hack work" or not, given it's not a visible part, but as a manufacturer of restoration products building a car for SEMA it bothers me that it wasn't finished to a higher standard.
20-years-ago-me would have had an issue with it, and I'm a lot better at sheet metal work now than I was back then.
