I was not able to find the switch. It must have been in the last box of parts I traded to my local Corvair guy when I needed the trunk lock trim.

Parts cannon scored a direct hit.  Rosie started and blasted about a pound of rodent nest out of the exhaust.

So, I asked my sister to buy me a gas can.  She opted to save $10 and got thr yellow one.  And that's funny.

I opened the tank to drain old gas and... was pleasantly surprised. Didn't smell bad.  Didn't look bad.  Drained a couple gallons, threw in at least that much ethanol free. 

Pulled the plugs to turn it over and make sure there is nothing in the cylinders 

Sidenote: this bullE36 M3 made me love all my inlines.  You V8 guys like this?!

And then, it happened.

And as she was cranking I swear that I heard, somewhere, somehow, Mountain's Mississippi Queen.  Maybe the music was in my heart?

Doesn't wanna idle, there are several things I saw that need attention, but the hard part is done.

Next I gotta do that shift cable.  Also the master cylinder seems to be leaking.  I filled it last weekend when I was up and this is how it looks now.  It appears to be leaking from the back seal?  Anyone ID the MC?

Random thoughts:  Need to figure out length of shift cable.  Probably equivalent to a Van? 5 foot?

Everything labeled "4L80E"  online has an eyelet on one end and I need threaded on both.  Wonder if Compu-Shift provided the cable and if it would be worth calling.

Be a couple weeks before I can get up there and try it.  I am worried about the pivot point of the lever being frozen, and that's what caused the old one to snap

Anyways, gonna head up this weekend, figure out the cable, bring a master cylinder and see if I can get it swapped, then its time for a quick drive to a gas station.

I've never seen one like it. It oozes cool

I picked up a set of tumblers and locks for the doors.  Doors are gonna be dummy-level easy.  The tailgate I'm not sure about.

Looking at pictures of others online, I am hoping I'll be able to crawl through the cabin and unbolt the little cover and manipulate it enough so that it opens?  Looks like there are half a dozen phillips head screws there on that cover.

I'm still not approved with 67-72 Chevy Trucks forum, so I can't ask there.  I also haven't been able to find any how-to's online.

Nothing seems to be damaged or missing.  But hell.

So, why would the pedal be rock hard when you go to bleed the master cylinder on the vehicle?

Wrong one?  Depth difference in pedal travel?

Pedal moves freely when MC not installed.  Old MC was very stiff.
