And it begins.
To get to the radiator, I have to remove the intercooler, PS cooler, Trans cooler, AC con denser, Core support, then you can pull the rad. There is a lot of cooling stacked in there.
Coolers out....
Decided I am 3/4 of the way there, may as well do Waterpump, T stats, and all the idlers and tensioner.
No cavitation inthe WP, but it looks like the impellers rubbed a bit?

Oof that's a decent job, right there!
In reply to Azryael :
Its been a chunk... Spread over a couple days though. I need to grab a rad from the local dealer. Its absudly priced.

Forgot one rubber flappy thing..... And it has to go on before the core support goes in.
But its back together, with new parts. I did an oil change and threw the new front tires on while I was there. 30 bolts to torque on each side gets old!
But I did four big passes, hit 221 degrees and nothing blew up.
Whatever happened to this?
It was cross posted on advrider.com but seems to have vanished entirely. Like somebody deleted all the threads. One of his other threads (restoring the IH Travelall) was over on Binderplanet and also ended abruptly about this same time. Hope the OP is OK.
OP posted on instagram yesterday, probably too busy skiing and being awesome.
Say the Advrider post a bit earlier
Starting to read through the thread
Thanks

Im alive! Not sure what happened to binder planet or ADV rider....
Truck has been sitting for awhile now, but its about to go back on ski duty! The rain has remonded me of the radio gremlins that I need to get figured out ASAP.
We bought a cabin property which has taken most of my time lately.
Excellent update. Glad to hear you're doing well.

It's my newest sled! 05 or 07 iirc.
Also have the previous generation rmk 700 and arctic cat 580efi from the mid 90's
Nice to see it still runs. Looked a little forlorn sitting in the driveway last time I drove by in October. I'm going with some place in the cascades for the cabin.

I looked at a map and picked Hwy 2 somewhere around Meritt, between two ski areas and getting close to east of the Cacades for climbing in the summer.

Damn! Google maps says your 1.66 miles as the crow flies! So yes right there.
Can't quite tell if it's got power or not. It looks like there is a yellow extension cord hanging in the picture. Going to go with a generator and or propane for heating.

Thanks for the update. I was reading about Earthroamers over on expedition portal and talk was made about how one could be built for far far less. That made me think of this rig but all the threads seemed to have abruptly ended. The cabin explains it. Second homes are a ton of work.
What kind of power is at the pole? How far is the pole to the cabin? Could run it under ground or even hang some Tri power to get a panel in the cabin.
Cool camp. How big is that thing- 12x18ish?

Its definitely doable. ER has built a reputation, and charge accordingly. However, they are extremely nicely done and well built.

Its all UG, We had to get a transformer set and I installed a "RV" style meter base, so its 125A and has a couple 120V circuit and a 30 (maybe 50A?) 240V. I am going to run it underground to the cabin, I have the wire even, just did not get time before the ground froze. We have been running off one 20A 120V circuit with no issues so far.
its ~180' from meter base to cabin.

Its 11x20 ish, loft is 2/3 the length upstairs. Bathroom hangs off the back deck.
If people are interested in non car stuff I can make a thread.

i LOL'd at "If people are interested". yes please, when you have time.
Rent a ditch witch trencher when you do. Since you don't have any teenage boys to put to work and trying to dig that by hand just nope.
