The short of this was I wanted MORE than an Challenge car and the RXh8 wasn't really capable of more so I sold it.
And then I took the proceeds and purchased this:
Tokico coil overs, full exhaust, slotted rotors, K&N intake. Runs like a freight train but needs a starter.
Makes me happy just staring at it.

So challenge budget or is that blown and you're tagging along with someone else next year?
Again still absolutely love the stance of it all and the color, wish they had S2's in that.... Congratulations, btw with the starter, have you registered with Mazda Motorsports? If so you can also get discounts from them with OEM stuff.
Nothing official yet Pat, I'll be there regardless

I know what you mean
I'll do the eBay starter for now until I have a better plan

Those wheels are working some kind of magic. Talk about more than the sum of its parts (visually)!
Yes the right front wheel is currently jacked up
Replacement is $160. I'll get one next month.
Until then I'll settle for rolling on the wheels that will be here Tuesday.
I'd be a little careful with an ebay starter - Mazda revised the starter multiple times and you'd really want the latest version.
Of course things are different if you're looking at a challenge build, but if you don't I'd recommend getting an OEM starter.
What kind/size wheels are those? I agree that they're purty
In reply to BoxheadTim:
The eBay one shows a 2:0kw versus the "bad" 1.6kw design.
This drivetrain will be gone within a year.

forget the ebay vs old/new design just buy the 09-11 starter, bolts right up and has more teeth and I think is 2.5KW (might be 2.0KW) but it really gets a rotary going.

Also note when you buy from mazdamotorsports they cannot refund you the core, they are not set up to pay you (based on dealer accounts payable each month) and you have no way to ship them the core (bullE36 M3) so I had a very expensive starter but very pleased with it in the long run.

I need a set of those, but with gold centers!
So it appears that my Federal, State and City Income Savings Accounts will be a little HIGHER than expected which in turn allows me to do a few things that I hadn't planned on:
Once received from their respected branch I will proceed to be on the lookout for the following:
LS powered Dorothy vehicle (any V8 LS will be fine with any transmission as I have access to the one I want)
Or
SN95 5.0L Mustang
Or
Split Port SN95 Mustang
Or
A 2011 and later 3.7L Mustang drivetrain with manual transmission
As it stands I will be content brapping through the gears with the engine that I currently have (until she pops... )

Still have the complete great running 99 silverado here that is perfect unless you want 3-4th gears. Just used it yesterday to pull the buick wreckdezvous around the yard
Whatever I offered before still stands, but I'd have to run back through texts to see what exactly that was.
The eBay starter works amazingly well! Like the updated starter it is a 2.0KW 13 tooth unit. The swap out took nearly nine minutes. I feel that warrants a barley treat.
