Team Stampie gets MacNasty

This story starts back in 2016 when Pat asked me if I'd go look at an S10 for him here in Jax. Said sure, contacted the guy and made arrangements to meet the next day. Next day with trailer in tow I get almost there and guy texts saying he couldn't make it. Figure normal CL shenanigans so I turn around expecting nothing else out of it. Next day the guy says he's ready so I go look at it. Nice pretty rust free ex V8 swap roller with a "MacNasty" windshield banner. Turns out the guy is a little proud of it and we can't agree on price because he's got another guy that's coming to look at it that's offered more. Ok sure and I leave. About a week later he says that one fell though so I go pick up MacNasty. 

Year or so later and Tropical Strom Matthew taking out the windshield Pat comes down and picks MacNasty up in the great load engineering of the C5/S10 mating hump on a to short of a trailer.  I don't know if Pat knew but I'd been eyeing his truck in that year with a little bit of a lustful eye.  Pat put her up for sale a couple of times but that trip to Ohio just prevented me from pulling the trigger. Few weeks ago I was in the middle of a text chat with with Pat and I read his newest ad for MacNasty. I couldn't help myself as I blurted out that I wanted MacNasty back in my yard. A deal was quickly made and tomorrow after two evenings of moving inop vehicles around we're loaded up and ready to head out to bring MacNasty home.

This truck is going to have more miles on a trailer between FL->MI->FL than it did on the street. 

Wait, so somehow the twin stick wasnt cool enough but another s10 is?

I'm not the first stop. You'll need gas and food long before Charlotte.

Our planned stop with Dusterbd13 got canceled.  Something about getting his shinny kicked by an engine.

In a sign that I'm the master of stealth farting they didn't catch me farting until 5 hours into the trip.  Going to get some sleep as I have the overnight portion.

Dude’s gotta stop getting hurt.  

I kinda hate you for coming at 6am but my alarm is set.  Your penance is cleaning out macnasty with me and changing the front wheels out.  All the leftover boxes of garage sale stuff that were in the van andy neuman bought in December are in it.  Cap is still on it, we can figure that out when you’re here.

I made room to turn around with trailer in driveway.

Lol-6AM for you, Midnight for me.  Sounds like Stampie likes doing things in the dark. 

In my defense my ass getting kicked by an engine did not result in injury yet. I'm 6 hours into an engine Pole and the motor is still not out. I'm pulling the berkeleying cab off the thing in the morning. I have never had this much trouble pulling any engine from an anything. I did not expect this from an LS powered full-size Chevy truck.

Piss poor design, poor working conditions, rust, mud.....

Just not going well. If stampie decides to ls mcnasty, I'll be able to give some pointers on pulling one.....

Man that 1am to 6am drive shift was brutal.

Got to Pat's 9 minutes late. Not bad for an 884 mile drive. Loaded up and enough extras that I'm way happy. Left an hour and half behind schedule but I figured this was the one that would put us behind. 

Was too busy taking pictures but here's MacNasty from my back seat view. 

Blurry potential, I love it.
