All broken down.
Think I know why my neighbor took them out.
Added bonus on one. Momentary switch and a led indicator light.
I'll give the ballast to the scraper. Actually felt a little guilty that I saw them on the road before he did.

Few weeks ago bgkast offered some Howe dual master cylinders free to a Challenge car.

I couldn't pass on that kind of coolness.
I started searching for balance bars and stuff to make it work and new stuff was not half budget friendly.
Finally found a used pedal and balance bar down in Sebring FL. I made a deal with the seller for $40 and local pickup. Tom was great and picked them up this weekend and this morning had a friend of his drop it off at my trash can.
Now how's this for some pure sexiness brake porn?
One mans trash, is another mans treasure. Collecting is half the battle. Making ones lazy arse motivated can be a war, believe me I know....
On the way back from Mr_Asa's today I stopped to pick some Dart iron heads for the 351.
They came with valves, springs, and keepers.
$300 was a steal.
Then I spent the next 45 minutes driving through Orlando suburbs. Not sure the heads were worth that hell.
Almost forgot. I also got the Miata steering column that was GRM expressed from Evan in Ohio. Thanks to everyone involved.

I wasn't planning on starting back until Saturday but the Challenge free metal gods had other plans. Seems our city government doesn't believe in making waste companies follow through on their contract so now we have to take our recycling a few miles down the road to a city park. We get there and a couple in a pickup ahead of us is dumping stuff. I see a frame of some sort in the back but they pull off pretty quick. We start dumping our stuff and I noticed that they had circled around the dumpsters. So when we get done we pull off and they pull back in. I figure they're about to dump the frame so I circle around and they pull off and circle around. Finally after playing ring around the roses I get out of my truck and tell them that I'd take whatever the object is. Turns out it's the frame a treadmill. Lots of goodies on it.
Does a treadmill have 4 rollers (wheels) making those the frame rails of a 4-wheeled production vehicle?
In reply to Robbie (Forum Supporter) :
Trust me I looked at it and said hmmmm ... I bet I could get that to pass as production frame rails.
Dirtydog (Forum Supporter) said:Here's a really weird suggestion. Turning the T&A into a tracked vehicle. Just joking??
It will be. In fact it should be kicking MrJoshua's shiny this time next year.

Today was frame day!
First I removed the radiator. Then I realized since it's just me I need to take pictures. The before picture but post radiator removal.
Then I just started working around the car removing stuff in the way. Took out the crushed steering column. The rear motor mounts. Then the exhaust. I tried jacking up the engine but discovered there's a front motor mount also. There's also the mechanical brake linkage under the middle crossmember. Everything really went smooth other than one of the battery box bolts was too rusty to remove with a wrench. Three hours later I was ready to lift it off.
Got Lil Stampie and ex Mrs. Stampie to come over and give me a hand lifting it off and tada.
It lifted right up and over this. Kinda reminds me of the Miata skateboard but 70 years older.
There's two problem areas on the frame. First this spot where the tree limb used the steering column as a lever to pull a spot up.
And there's this area that has a crack. Looks like someone tried to repair it before but not to well. They just laid a bead on about an inch on the other side.
I met up with Dusterdb13 in a small town in SC today. Even though we got dressed 4 hours from each other we were twinning.
The reason we met up was he found a deal on 50x20 16 guage aluminum. Guy was asking $5 a sheet but we did a bulk deal at $4 a sheet. He said he thinks he gave us a few over our 50 sheets. After we spit them I think he gave us more like 60. My 25 sheets cost me $100 in cold hard Christmas cash.
Thanks for dropping off the Trans!
I'm sorry I didn't come out and say hi. I found out I has the covid....

Well E36 M3. Was hoping you didn't have that. Get well. I hear staying hydrated helps.
