Definitely keep us posted. Been halfway looking for one for my nb
Made some New progress over the weekend. The Westlake tires that were on the car were worn and dry rotted and of course absolutely deplorable in the handling department.
As some of you know from my other projects I live in a condo and do most of my work in the parking lot. I do have a new shop space that i have been using by my G20 Project is on the lift and can't come off until I get some new suspension bits in the mail. With limited time and my jack stands being loaned to a friend on other side of time I had to get creative.
My neighbors must have thought I was crazy. Correction... My neighbors DO THINK IM CRAZY
The goal over the weekend was to paint the factory wheels, get the new tires mounted and balanced and do a full inspection of the suspension bits.
I snagged some Falken Azenis for about $275 shipped for the little 14's. I wanted 15's but in the current HP scenario there is no need for anything more than these 195's
Wheels came out great. 3 cans of rustoleum Wheel primer, paint and clear. I figured their graphite color would be cool and all together I spent about 45 bucks on the paint. Totally worth it. Its been raining so I don't have good pictures yet. Stand by for those.
I was surprised to find that the car does have aftermarket Front and Rear Sway Bars. I attempted to identify them and I believe that they may be FlyingMiata brand. But im not sure. Anyone recognize them?
I just bought a brand new Racing Beat front solid sway bar with Racing Beat Blocks and Bolts sway bar mount reinforcement from a GRMer so I think I may pull this and sell them to get some $$ recouped. Anyways. That's my update. I love this little car. It's so freaking slow. But its ok.
Next up. New radiator. And the vinyl removal.
Made some more progress today. Idk if i made the wrong choice or not but I got out my heat gun and began stripping the vinyl wrap off. Some paint is coming with it and also leaves so goo and gunk behind. Im obviously going to need to sand this thing down and do a repaint. But thats fine. Tractor supply tractor paint will do the trick.
Here is a decent picture of the wheels. I was in a bit of a time crunch to get the tires mounted and I didn't wait as long as I should have to let the paint cure so ill have to do some touch up but im happy with how they turned out.
Got some more done on the Miata today. I spent a chunk of change with ebay and used the fathers day discount code and saved 20%.
I Got a few things for my tow rig, the miata and my G20.
The miata had almost all of the lights out on it so i figured that I may just as well upgrade to LED's all the way around and also did the headlights. They made an incredible difference. If you have an NA Miata I HIGHLY recommend all of these.
