Getting closer ! Great fun remembering where the numerous coolant piping went...should have taken more pictures!
My son 3D printed a copy of the car's original factory radio delete plate so a wide band air/fuel ratio gauge and oil pressure gauge can be installed ... getting closer!
We were hoping for first start yesterday .... but it was not to be .... primed oil system, drained a full tank of old gas etc .... sounded like it wanted to start .... and now no spark ... arghhh
Maybe today if we can figure out which "new" ignition component is bad ... and someone has it in stock
The beauty of a consistent flash from your antique Craftsman timing light is truly underrated!
Anyone notice the lack of A/C, radio, power windows etc on this SVO?
Back to my Europa TCST project!
"Anyone notice the lack of A/C, radio, power windows, power door locks etc on this SVO?" - No comments/ guesses on the significance of this ?
These were handy getting power source for the new gauges as this car has few fuses (see above) ....

Good looking SVO, and appears to not have a sunroof?

Comp Prep car?
First drive today! Installed Kirban adjustable fuel pressure regulator, sneaking up on good A/F numbers ...sounds good :)
Out in the wild ....putting some miles on the rebuild ....
It should be going home with my son next week.
Made this for my son for Christmas out of the blown head gasket. He's the little boy behind the steering wheel in the top picture, the car has been around as long as he can remember and now it's been his for about 4 years now :)
Went with my son while he took the SVO to a car show Saturday, lots of comments as no one has seen one on the road in years.
Sunday tested for boost leak he has been hearing ( I couldn't hear it having tinnitus from working on the SR-71). He didn't think his old man (me) could stretch a Home Depot plumbing hose with a 2.37" ID over the 2.73" turbo inlet ..... old man for the win! Printed air fitting adapter on his Bambu Lab 3D printer. I figured we could test from inlet to throttle body and then plug into the boost source on the manifold to test all the hoses etc. with my air compressor. EGR valve and it's diaphragm leak and one of the hoses!
