That snorkel would drive me nuts, maybe you just don't see it after awhile? To me it was the perfect time to make it go away, body and paint was already happening.
It sucks the color change was $$$ as Calvary Blue would have looked great.

Snorkel really isn't visible when you're driving. To delete it would've meant buying a new fender and having the shop weld up the holes in the A pillar. Plus sourcing the stock air box parts I'm missing. Didn't feel like spending the money and replacing the panel. It fits into the look of the SUV now that I've got the off road front bumper installed. With the stock front bumper it looked really goofy.
I would've loved Calvary Blue, but the quote I got from the shop was basically a "we don't wanna do it" quote...
Replaced the cabin air filter today. Old one had 2 years/20k miles on it. Pretty dirty. Replaced it with an OEM charcoal one.
Then I popped out the engine air filter, knocked the dirt/crap out of it, then rotated it so the clean side was nearest the intake. Done till the next oil change in another 3k miles.

Yeah, I really didn't want to. Now is the not so fun part of trying to replace it. Used car market is still fairly tight and it doesn't help that I'm all over the place as far as what I want. I might've found a 2010 Audi A6 avant 3.0T (supercharged) locally. If that one checks out, I think it'll be a good option. Otherwise I'm considering VW Touareg TDI, 4Runner V8, maybe a Golf/jetta tdi wagon, or an E91 wagon.
I thought I'd found a good A6 avant, low mileage, 1 owner. Lof8 was kind enough to go check it out for me and discovered it had a wicked rattle at cold start/idle. Which is probably the timing chain/guides, so that car is out of contention for me.
