Doesn't sound very difficult. I've heard tales of 15 minutes, but I've never been able to do anything at the DMV in less than an hour.

Just so you know, dmv.org is NOT the horse or the horse's mouth. They're not affiliated with the government agencies in any sense and are no more a reference of what is legal than Wikipedia or thingsthatarefoundonsearchenginesforadvertisementdollars.com

I realize every state is different. How will this be setup for FL based registration? I am assuming it will be at the home office.
Here's a good resource: http://www.bipac.net/page.asp?content=tag_title_toolbox&g=SEMAGA
Factory Five issues Manufacturer Certificates of Origin, which make titling a self-assembled vehicle pretty straightforward in most states. A good place to call is your local DMV. If they can't talk your through the process, ask them who can. You're certainly not the first person to title a kit car in your county.

Haha, that isn't a picture of me though!
And the 818 will register like any other kit car out there. Refer to your local DMV for specifics.
I have returned to the office gents, updates will resume shortly, hopefully this afternoon if I get caught up!
It's been so long since an update I guess the car is finished and back in Florida by now. When will it see it's first Auto-X?
And the fuel cap assembly ended up being glued together–we fixed it with a few welds, but only after the photo was taken. That's why it seems to be too far recessed.

Something we have discussed as well, but there are a lot of tight clearances in that area. Note in my previous post how close the shift linkage sits to the mesh. Not saying it isn't possible, but dumping under the car is the best option for now.
I've heard of a glass jaw, but a glass scalp?
Looking good, guys! Can't wait to see it running!
I still think that the shift linkage is too vulnerable. I think it needs a little protection.
Nice personalized touch in the AIM dash tagline.
I agree that exhaust exit has to be changed. That just looks "kit car".
