Things are in an extended planning stage for a variety of reasons. I'm in a holding pattern until the first of the year when I decide whether moving forward will happen in the near future of the far future. I still want to participate in One Lap consistently over the next couple of decades and running a truck is loosely part of those plans.
Basically I may have gotten ahead of myself. We'll see.
Getting ahead of one's self is basically all I'm good at, so yeah this is understandable. One thought I have is if it would make more sense to use a GMT900 or a Colorado/Canyon as the platform. The 4wd GMT900 front suspension is normal coils while the Colorado is back at torsion bars. So there's that. I would mention the weight issue but I seem to recall people running things like the X6M at one lap, which isn't much lighter than a SWB GMT900 as far as I know.
