Hi im new to GRM, and i wanted to share my build. I was going for the vintage look and feel. Its 2104lbs with a 500hp drysumped Ls6 and 14 inch Hoosiers. It took me 8 months to build it. I have been able to get it to 5 autocross events this summer /fall . So im still working on the bar and spring setup to get it completely dialed in. I started the build with a Howe TA2 front clip and went from there.

another build pic. the chassis is Tig welded.
That's incredible! What kind of events do you run with it? Is it track only or is this insane machine street drivable?

The body is made of .040 aluminum that is painted on both sides and comes with a tough plastic protective film to prevent scratches during fabrication. A 10x4 sheet is $62 I used 6 sheets making the body. I think i could build one with 5 sheets, I had a couple of fails the first time. the body is held on with 60 quarter turn fasteners, I can have the body off in about 5 min if i had to. I was thinking of doing the body in fibergass ,but the aluminum is cheaper and easier for me to work with and a whole bunch less messy. so I bought a used 6 foot brake ,bead roller, shrinker stretcher and my brothers work was throwing out a jump shear 3ft so i snagged it.
Wow, what a beast. What's it like to drive?
Any hill climbs near you? excellent work!!

Its a a blast to race, I imagine its like driving the race cars from the past very mechanical no electronic helpers making you look like a superstar just you and the car. I like that

I have seen those videoes I almost bought my buddies 92 troyer to do it, but then i talked to a modified racer who had raced them at the glen he said it was a hand full.
KG (troyer) is in a current rear suspension revision thrash after looping it at the last event .

The Troyer and Howe Modifieds race in the New England Hillclimb series, as do I with a much more modest VW Golf! Check out Hillclimb.org for more info and specs you'll need to complete to compete. You'll need a lot more cage around you to pass tech. Clearly you have the skills and tools to make it happen. We'd love to see you and that machine at the hills!
