We are always looking for a deal, aren't we.
$10K under BaT going prices.
87K miles
2005. 1 owner . They bought it new, owner is quite famous in the field of medicine... retired a long time ago. This was kept in their extra home (20 min from me). Now that their grandkids moved away, they don't need to fly in and use the car. Car has sat for 3 years.
Figure since the FREE CAR died: https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/build-projects-and-project-cars/first-free-car-thanks-to-pimpm3/176528/page1/ we needed another car, as kid #1 can have in another year.

- Car wouldn't start
- Was dirty
- Tires had cracks in it
- Had to jump start it
- Headlights completely fogged up
------------------
All keys
window sticker
all maintenace records
Timing belt / water pump service done

Go to bank with the owners.....
still have only tire shop in area that does cash and no lifts

cleaned up nice
all political stickers removed

wagon same size as a new GRC

It looks like it's smaller than the Corolla? Wow, that's some perspective!
Very cool car! It has one of the coolest Lexus interiors ever.
I had no clue IS300 wagons were a thing! #longroofenvy
Always loved that body style. Perfect sport wagon look, in my opinion better than the germans of the era.
I am also surprised by the size next to a new Corolla. I had a similar reaction when I parked my 1995 Camry next to my coworker's 2010ish Corolla...

Came here to say the same thing.
I've often lusted after a Sportcross, but I don't think owning one will be in the cards for me anytime soon.
At least I can enjoy it vicariously with this thread.

Yeah I posted both so we can see the perspective.
I routinely have 3 6 feet people, and one 5'8" person in the car, both cars have 4 people in it always.
Lower belt line in the Sportcross and lower hood is much nicer.
In reply to Crackers (Forum Supporter) :
Well I had wagons all my life
80 DL Subaru Wagon
01 Outback Wagon
86 Honda Wagovan
91 Honda Wagovan
2012 TSX Wagon (kept 9 years).
THe IS300 is much better than the TSX wagon and should have bought one new. Oh well, I am dumb and learn my lessons later in my life. I am going to enjoy for 1.5 years as beater, before giving it to kid.
Reliving ...

Yeah its got a great look.
Also minty 1 owner car, with great miles, and so dirt cheap - had to do it :)

Drive mine anytime.
Lots of GRM people go through my area - and we always meet up and take something from the fleet.
Dang, one of the best interiors ever. Super clean looking, and 2JZ!
In reply to bbbbRASS :
Thanks. Yeah interior is mint. No one ever sat in back, it was very delicately used (on the inside).
They didn't care about the outside - which my detail and clean up helped.
That is an absolutely beautiful find! This right here is why I'm addicted to watching FBMP and why my driveway has 3 more vehicles than I "need".
In reply to Loweguy5 :
we all have too many vehicles dont we ?
This was a CL find- since no one goes there anymore I got such a deal - also owner believed in "KBB" value and subtracted for lights etc - good thing they didnt sub to BaT

3073 ever made, but 4 live in a 2 mile radius LOL
