Hey GRM forum...I've been a lurker for a while, but I finally took the plunge and bought a cheap [with some minor cosmetic damage] 2009 Hyundai Accent to build into a warm/hot hatch. My goals are simple, which are to upgrade the suspension and also swap in a Beta engine. I'll also be changing seats, steering wheel, and anything else to improve the driving experience.

As you can see, it needs some love. I started with replacing headlights and installing my front strut bar from Ultra Racing. At the moment. I have a hood, bumper, rear sway, and 16x6.5 Mini Cooper wheels to install. The hood is a dark gray, not black. I'm going to wrap it to save money on painting.

New headlights. Looks meaner already. I'm most likely going to bring in someone more familiar with body work to adjust things once I've fitted the hood and bumper.

Thanks for checking out my thread!! I hope to learn a lot here and build an economical driver's hatch that can punch up a few weight classes. The MC Accent is seriously underrated and has a lot of potential!! This will also be cross-posted on Hyundai-Forums and the H.A.S group on Facebook. Later!!!

I like that the only tools shown (so far) is a large hammer.

Neat! I like it when people do cool stuff with little un-noticed cars like this.

Thank you. There are a few posters here who have interesting Accents, so I thought to pick one up.

I desperately want the Quaife limited slip you can get for these.

I was thinking about that myself. I've fully accepted that I'll be spending more on parts than I've paid for the actual car. You have a great Accent, btw.
