That is awesome! However, there will be almost nothing left of the original car/suspension once I am done.

Finally! An update.

I have cleaned and rearranged my garage to promote starlet work. Got the front suspension pulled out because my Miata donor showed up a few weeks ago. Thanks psteav!

Next step is pull the stock axle and strip the Miata. Anyone need parts?

Also looks like I might go grab one of Yamaha's SHOs. This will make a killer donor and give me everything I need for the motor swap.

Psteav and I also checked the Mazda transmission for fitment and it looks good. The shifter even lines up!

After a LONG hiatus, the starlet will be getting some love!! I really doubt I will make the Challenge this year or maybe within budget but I want a sweet street rod and this is what I got! The miata will be taken apart coming Sunday!

I was at Singleslammer's house this past weekend and wanted to report some progress that I saw.

It appears there has been a near-miss situation and the Miata donor was able to avoid rear-ending the Starlet in the driveway. The trunk latch apparently failed in the process (and it's not visible here, but the rear suspension evidently separated from the car as a result of the evasive maneuver).

But that's not the progress. Here's the progress:

A furniture dolly has collapsed from passage of time and exposure to the elements.

Every little bit of progress helps!

You didn't get a shot of the Miata rear end removed. Well crap, I need to take one I guess...
