1962 jaguar mk2 sedan. No motor or transmission. Good project car. No rust.
I'd put a 4.2 jag in there. One of the all time greatest engines. Hard part would be finding a manual trans. Most are e-type trans with the crazy prices to match.

Agreed. Thank God then that I live on the wrong side of the iron curtain.
It would include a Pontiac GTO under the skin when it was done.

Gah!
It makes me think about that thing from the Discworld books involving sort of magical teleportation but you had to balance the masses. If only I could fling my Ranchero to the end of the country that wants it in exchange for moving this closer.
I know they're not *that* scarce, but the apparent cleanness, and the cheapness brought on by missing the parts I want to swap out anyhow... Bah!
Looks like it's gone. I probably would have tried for it. I had two of these plus a parts car in the early 80s' and never had them streetably running. I'd stand a better chance now with a garage/workshop and a more realistic budget.
I think the easy button for an engine swap is a Chev V6, but I'd rather have the Jaguar 6, possibly with aftermarket electronics and fuel injection.
Curious - what were they asking for it? The post is down.
