I dig those old Comets. The 64's look like a mini Continental to me. The 65-67 are nice as well.
I suspect the owner is younger - I see Datsun wheels and possibly Mercury Cougar seats in the car.
Can someone put a eyeball on that. If The floorboards and torgue box is not beyond hope, I am very interested!
I had to pass on that one last year... didn't have a "spare" $12K in my pocket (would have offered $8K, but didn't have that either!
That was my first car; bought in 78 for $200. Got on the road in 79. Still know who the current owner is, but no contact in 15 years or so. She has had it in the barn since 1995... was her dads while she was growing up. She wouldn't even sell it to me, so unless I can live long enough to buy it from her estate...
I did swap hoods with her years ago, and kept the scoop when I moved that one on. I bought that from a junk yard (at 16) - took it off a 69 Mach 1 with a 351 W. Still have the turn signal harness, in some box I haven't seen in 30 years or so, and wouldn't be able to put my hands on!
I like the 64 tail end much better, and like the 65 headlights better.
Anybody near Bushnell that can check that wagon for me? Having worked in that area, I know where Bushnell is, but not travelin' these days, I'm a long way away.

I'm driving from Tallahassee to Tampa tomorrow. Gonna stop in Ocala. Could probably stop there.
Get contact info and send me a text, or email me through the PM system. I'm off to the woods where phones don't reach.

Thanks Mr Asa. I'll text ya.
The only falcon/comet/mustangs one been around, were all many years ago, and if they had rusty floorboards, being uni body, they got passed on. I never even heard the term torque box till car tv became a thing! You prolly know more what's worth repairing under there than I do.
Thanks.
I sent seller a message, asking him to text me. My first FB message. I feel software dirty now.
I may or may not have messaged him correctly, but I did my best!
For anyone that doesn't know me, I don't think FB is the cause of the downfall of scocity, but too feel it is a symptom.
The FB posted did not ever get back with me. If anyone is more facebook friendly, maybe they could get a contact number? Maybe the did not respond to me seeing it was the first post I ever did? Don'no.
I wanted to go see it thjs weekend as i was interested but the honeydo list was too long. Thats a sweet deal if its still road worthy

Didn’t mean to leave ya hanging, but bit of a crazy day today. Did manage to get some stuff done, but wish I knew how to contact that guy.

Have your talked to the guy yet? I didn’t hear back from him on fb, unfortunately.
I would suspect it’s a long way from being even close to roadworthy, but I’d love to check it out.
In reply to 03Panther :
I asked him if the rust would be an issue in terms of being road worthy, he said no. Its an hour and 15 from me. Not too far. I need to find time and determine if i want a double digit amount of cars again lol
Sadly 5 1/2 for me! But with no way to contact him, my logistic problems don't really matter
I don't mind adding a project... this would be a keeper. The other 6 are all moving on, if I ever quit procrastinating! "course the financial manager insists I can't have any more toys till all 6 go. But I could sleep in a wagon, so
This ad for my favorite wagon is still up, but they have never responded to my fb reply. Maybe ‘cause Alabama, or maybe due to it being my first (and only) post ever on fb
Could a regular fb user contact him and fwd. his contact info? I have concerns that the uni - body rust will turn out to be too much for my abilities/costs, but I really do want to find out.
In reply to Mr_Asa :
Thanks. Frustrating. Someone did talk to him , I guess, but has not looked at it for himself, but has not let any contact info out. The guy might have asked him not to. Don’know.
Guy doesn't seem to read his messages, but he'll respond to them. I can go up there Saturday. PM me your contact info and I'll call you when I'm there and I can look over the car for you and put you on speakerphone to talk to him.
So I don't know if I'd say rust would not be a roadworthiness issue.

Oooof.
Hard pass. and yes, that rust basically makes it either scrap / parts donor or a SERIOUS labor of love to put back together. I don't even think NoHome would tackle this one.
In reply to Indy "Nub" Guy :
Thoughts on actual, out-the-door price?
I was talking with the guy and we were discussing how rare classics were anymore, and with covid pricing his price might be on the high side of reasonable. Might be able to get out of there for $1200-1500?
Won't get Mustang prices as it is an old Merc wagon, but it is still a classic car.
Personally, I wouldn't take that one if you gave it to me for free. I hate rust. I know many guys on here tackle it and do metal replacement, but it is very time consuming, and most who start, NEVER finish.
Spend a little more $$ and get a rust free one. You live in the south, there should be more options for you than us northerners have.

I'd take a free mustang that bad, just to sell to someone with big dreams. Same for a numbers correct Cyclone or T-bolt. But a sedan (even a numbers correct falcon sprint) could continue its journey back to dirt. And a wagon is not that rare. I had a 65 falcon sedan delivery ages ago - that's rare! They made 667 of them.
Being a wagon fanatic, I'd give a few hundred for it, or trade a couple projects ( that will go to scrap eventually) but I KNOW I would regret it!
