About 50% of my customer 122s were automatic when they were new cars. They were much less prized by their owners then, and by 1986 when I closed up the proportion was more like 10%. Lack of reverse is the standard failure on the BW35 trans.

There is a scruffy one built for drifting that rolls around in Cinci rattle canned purple. It is rad, if a touch frightening.
