Asking $2400, this seems like a good deal for a mostly complete rust free example.

If I could sell my expedition and buy this straight across, I would. Problem being I have to replace expedition first.

That is a fantastic deal! I have had a Roadster for 10+ years. Such great little cars and there is LOADS of support for them.

It's about an hour from me, I have no time for this unfortunatly.

That's an amazing deal. An unrusted Roadster in the midwest is a Unicorn!

I've had a bunch of these over the years although the last one was 27 ago. Are parts a problem? They were getting to be back in the 90's hence my departure from 2-liter ownership.

The problem with horsing around with these is the ever lurking presence of The Answer. It's tough to compare an early 60's chassis/car design with a late 80's design that has not needed to be changed much in the last 40 years. Those Mazda guys kinda knew what they were about...

In 1990 I wanted the new Miata and settled for a $2500 Datsun 1600 roadster.

In 2015 I wanted to pickup a Datsun roadster and found that for $5000 you can pickup a decent Miata.  Those Datsuns were really pricey.

It would help to see the frame and if it's rusty, heavy with bondo or no title.
