Thanks for the heads-up.
I've got a customer who is shopping for an Italian exotic that is still reasonable.
I love the Hofmeister kink.

Dale, Is that you?
I've always thought that the Miura was the prettiest car ever made but the second place slot was up for debate. Not anymore. That thing is GORGEOUS, and I've never heard of that model before. If I was a lotto winner that thing would be on a well-insured truck tomorrow.
I couldn't follow the whole numbers-matching engine thing, and which engine was in which car for how long and if it was rebuilt, etc.
But for that money why in the hell would the split seam, passenger window and wrinkles on the hood not be fixed?

It's the same joker that's trying to sell a quarter of a million dollar collector lambo on craigslist. Logic and reason are not this persons forte, clearly.
Makes more sense than these.

Who would buy that anyway when you can have Wilt Chamberlain's Ghia for a mere $175k.

Because there is no way to get that paint to match correctly, to show spec, which means a full respray. Its not even its original factory colors so even if you could you would still need to respray that car. The leather may be original and they are unable to repair it without doing the whole interior so that it all matches.
IE to get this car right would require a respray and possibly an entire interior which if it had it would be for sale through normal channels. Or it has hidden issues that would keep a normal auction house from consigning it.

Jon Voight rocks! I'm not sure about his car though, unless we're talking rocking back and forth...
For the hell of it I just put $200k as the minimum price in Craigs list and came up with a lot of cars. They are all people who can't add a decimal point in the price like this $600,000 Ponti-yuck http://detroit.craigslist.org/wyn/cto/4531504250.html
HAving said that, there does seem to be more and more people selling (or at least trying to sell) high end cars on CL.
Back to those in the know. What is the actual market value of the Islero if it is as advertized, I have no idea.
That particular Islero may not be worth price quoted, but it's not far off. There were only 225 total built if I remember right, and vintage lamborghinis are skyrocketing in value.

You reminded me of this: http://www.petrolicious.com/purist-loves-this-car-just-the-way-it-is
And I preferred Jerry's Saab or his Dad's Chevelle.
