1 of 23 coaches built in 68, shipped to Texas for the conversion. I believe this was the last tour bus of Bob Wills, Country Music Hall of Fame leader of the Texas Playboys. I purchased it with the intention of towing my race car trailer, but at 40', it is too long. I had a new clutch, pressure plate and t/o bearing and 1 air bag replaced before I drove it home from West Virginia. It needs some work to complete the renovation, but is drivable now. Comes with new windshields and gaskets to install. I would call it 85% completed. I need the space in my driveway and will take a loss selling it for $7,995.00. It is located outside of Gettysburg, Pa. Call Don @ seven 1 seven two53-5077

This is a bus built as an RV when new, no title issues with changing it over by the sound of it.
40' is long, limits the amount of trailer you can use, some states enforce the overall length, keep in mind GA has one of the shortest at 60' overall, this leaves 20' total for the trailer, including A arm, if you want to be sure to fly under the limits.
Prevost rules BTW
Uh oh.
Any idea of the penalty if you are over?

The thing is it seems that the DOTs are arbitrarily enforcing a code that is not meant for RV use but it is being accepted as a done deal and the courts are upholding it.
So IMHO, seeing as Race Car transporters are being targeted it makes sense to me to avoid the problems. Now then most states have a 65' overall, some have 70' but GA, right in the middle of everything has a 60' total.
Keeping that in mind, do your own research to apply to the states you drive through.
This stems from a DOT problem, not our problem, how to extract money from Race Car Transporters who are not pro, therefore skirting around all the revenue making procedures that apply to a For Profit vehicle.
Some people are fighting these tickets and even winning, but as a GRM type, I would rather avoid some out of state court argument.
With Mongo being 35' I can comfortably still haul a 20' trailer so that with the A arm I am just under 60'.

It has the Detroit 8V71 with a manual 4 speed. I believe it's a Spicer trans. The engine fires right up with no smoke or leaks.
